We booked a table for 6 30 on a Friday, and then place was packed and very noisywhen we arrived…read more We shared the Haku Kingfish sashimi starter, which had a yummy ponzu sauce and some interesting tapioca crackers, which were black with small white blisters - really unusual. Main course was the market fish, a bl we fin tuna variant on a wonderful green sauce that's apparently a local delicacy, although we passed on the beef lardons that normally go with it. Even without the lardons, it was fantastic For desert, they named to Manchester a vegan chocolate cheesecake option. That, and a couple of glasses of port, rounded off the evening nicely

When I asked what she recommended, she said that the Aglio and the Te Ika Mata are great paired together - so that what we went for. The Aglio is Confit garlic, Rosemary salt and Truffle Mascarpone. The Te Ika Mata is raw market fish (cod today), coconut, coriander, chili and lime. The Aglio was warm and fresh and the the confit garlic had a great flavor without being overpowering and was very good. The Te Ika Mata had a wonderful flavor - a hint of lime mixed with the coriander (cilantro for those from the U.S. in a liquid with subtle coconut flavor. The flavors worked so well together - I was very pleasantly surprised and our server was right - the two (Aglio and Te Ika Mata) worked very well together. It was light yet satisfying and I would absolutely order it again!

I have another review already for here. Check my profile…read more But here's an update. Seated @ 630PM Wednesday night. Not too busy, steady, but not busy. Probably height of service. Takes 30 mins after our drinks were ordered for tap beer & chai tea to arrive. What were you doing ? Picking tea leaves & brewing the beer ? Takes just over an hour for our bread selection & dips to arrive. It's delicious, but there's only one type of bread. & 1 Hour wait for bread & dips ? Once again, what were you doing ? Kneading & rising the bread ? Then, food comes out. I had Haloumi Stack as I did the last time I dined in. Last time it was AMAZING. This time the haloumi was hard, I could hardly cut it, it was dry & cold, as was the risotto as well. My partners pizza was scolding hot, which leaves me only a choice to consider the fact that maybe my meal was cooked too soon. This is my 3rd time dining in. Once for lunch, twice for dinner. I've also ordered takeaway pizza 3 maybe 4 times too. Lunch service was good, was impressed with food & service. First dinner experience is explained in my previous review, below average. This dinner service... WAY BELOW AVERAGE. By the time we left we were actually too exhausted to complain from waiting for so long. Blue haired waitress didn't apologize once for the long wait, so I'm assuming it usually takes 30 mins for drinks & an hour for bread. Mains came out in a reasonable time, about 30 mins, but like I mentioned. Mine was like warm. Takeaway pizza is great. Not complaints there. Each time I dined in it got worse & worse. TAKE AWAY IT IS ! Oh & also water here tastes like chlorine.....

Recently under new management, but still have an amazing menu of pizza and pasta. Beautiful pizza…read morewith good quality topping, and a good selection of local and national wines. Nice deck with some shelter if the weather is behaving.
