This is a nice park located in Memphis. It's official name is Pauline Marquette Park and it spans 8.50 acres. It has tons of green space that is suitable for field games such as soccer, football, playing catch, ultimate frisbee, and/or having a picnic. The park also has a muti-use field with a backstop that could be used for baseball/softball or kickball. You will find a shelter with picnic tables under it and a grill outside of it. There are also a few picnic tables with their own grills, placed around the park.
You will find free parking along the street the surrounds the park. There were tons of parking available and I had no problem finding a spot between the park and the houses across the street.
The park feature two playground areas that are right next to each other. The first has a small bank of toddler swings and a small bank of traditional swings and a medium sized jungle gym with slides. This area is on the rubbery mud-free surface. The other playground area is basic. It has a flat jungle gym on cement. You will find some benches on its perimeter where caregivers can sit and watch their littles.
This is a nice park. It is a pretty wide open park and has a decent 1/2 mile paved trail that runs along its perimeter. The park appears pretty well maintained and serves as the home to a Columbus/UNICO National Memorial, which is featured along the main road that runs past the park. This park is a neat place to spend some time and I enjoyed my brief time here. read more
