My fourth grader is farther ahead than her seventh grade friend in all subjects, and was concitered a little below average in her fourth grade class. In fourth grade, the kids were taking tenth grade Iowa asessmant tests. They use high school science books, and conciter them little kiddish! People have been telling me that Hononegah is at the top of some list for best...I dunno, best…read moreschool in IL or something like that. I graduated in 2005 and no, it fxcking isn't. Don't get me wrong, I miss high school...but when you get a little older, that's normal. It doesn't matter if its the best school or the worst. Hononegah is somewhere in between, but closer to the latter. Its a good facility and all, but the younger teachers are sort of uninvolved, run-of-the-mill douchebags. I mean, go to a bar and there's a decent chance you'll see your old chemistry teacher spilling a beer on some freshly 21-year-old girl, trying to take her back to the condo. Rockton-Roscoe is a pretty OK place to raise kids because the cops are insidious asshxles, fresh out of the academy, so they keep shxt locked down. Besides Walmart, Hononegah is the best thing Rockton has going for it, and that ain't sayin' much.

Discipline system is absolutely screwed up since the demerit system was taken out. You get the…read moremaximum punishment for the littlest things. I got an In School Suspension for saying someone's penis was probably small (not even to their face) and I got a detention for having a lighter? That makes absolutely no sense to me.
