We found Jonathan after searching for over a month for the perfect officiant!…read more We went through almost every person listed in the area and they were either boring, overpriced or looked like a creeper (it was important to us NOT have creeper vibe at the wedding). We were at our wits end when we somehow came across Jonathan. Our first meeting was at Coffee Bean for a drink. My husband and I love traveling and he shared that same love by telling us tales of his travels to far away countries. Jonathan was super patient because during our interview we were probably interrupted 10 times by random strangers who wanted to say "Hi" to our newly adopted puppy This is when we decided our puppy would not be coming with us during any more meetings.... Jonathan had a template for us as an example so we just filled in the blanks. What I loved was the ceremony was sincere, not too long and not too short. He tailored his message to fit our theme. He was professional and paid attention to details. There are no unwanted surprises because he goes over the format with you before the wedding. He also attended our wedding rehearsal and did the prayer for our reception (My family has verbal diarrhea so I appreciated that!) Jonathan was everything we wanted in an officiant! You can find more reviews on him on weddingwire.com which is why I didn't find him originally. Gotta show some YELP love!

Professional, well spoken, kind, organized, punctual, reliable, willing to go the extra mile…read more Jonathan was the perfect fit for our Santa Barbara wedding. We had found Jonathan while searching the internet for a local officiant and could not be happier. He communicated with us very well throughout the entire process and worked perfect for us. Her family being Catholic and my family being Christian, Jonathan worked with us in constructing a perfect mix of tradition and modern day beliefs. He even went as far as asking us what we wanted him to wear! I would highly recommend Jonathan to anyone looking for an officiant. The main reason why we give Jonathan such high praise is because during the shuffle and commotion of the wedding we some how misplaced our marriage license and thought we would have to go through the entire process again. Jonathan went to the courthouse personally and handled the matter by himself and let us know when it was done. With wedding being so hectic, having someone you know you can rely on, is really one less thing you will have to worry about. Also, when Jonathan asks if you would prefer him turn in the wedding license, SAY YES!

We only had an small elopement ceremony, but Kristin treated it as if it were a huge wedding and her words brought tears to our eyes. She treated us with kindness and love and was genuinely happy for us and to be a part of our day. She went above and beyond, even helping me fix my necklace since we had a photographer for the ceremony. Thank you so much, Kristin. The love you have for people and for celebrating the love between two people is so evident and shines through. We are so blessed to have found you. Thank you so much for not only being part of our special day but for being a part of what made the day special.

As two gay men getting married, we knew from the start that we wanted a woman to be our wedding…read moreofficiant - and when a good friend of ours referred us to Kristin Cusenbary and Seaside Ceremonies, we knew we'd found the right person to help us tie the know on our special day. Over a series of months, we met via Zoom with Kristin, with her really getting to know the two of us in a very special way. Kristin made us feel at ease, and via a detailed questionnaire that each of us filled out separately, she was able to craft a memorable and very meaningful ceremony script for the wedding day. Without having ever met her in person, we got a great feeling from Kristin - and when the day came that she delivered our actual ceremony script, we were equal parts excited / scared / anxious - all rolled into one. We opened up her email and read what she had written - and we literally had to stop multiple times to wipe away the tears from our eyes. She got everything so perfect - from tiny details we'd included in our questionnaires to things we'd mentioned in passing to her via zoom and emails. She wove the story of our love together so beautifully and we knew immediately that the ceremony would be deeply moving for our guests. We made a few minor tweaks to what she'd written, but overall she'd done an amazing job. Kristin joined us on the day of our rehearsal, truly the first time we'd met her face to face. At this point, she knew us intimately, and helped to soothe our fears and put us at ease. On the day of the wedding, we were calm and cool ... until it came time to actually walk down the aisle. But at the end, there stood Kristin, ready to take us to the next chapter! And while it mattered not in the least, Kristin is gorgeous - and her radiant smile welcomed us like an old friend. The script she had written was perhaps a little longer than others - but it was filled with love and told our story in a magical and wonderful way - bringing both tears and laughter to our friends and family who joined us. Kristin was a pro - helping those in our wedding party, working with our wedding planner and the musicians - making everything seamless and stress-free on our wedding day. Before we knew it, the ceremony was done and Kristin took care of the details of our marriage license. And before she left, we managed to get a few photos with her - and gave her our thanks. The ceremony that she wrote for us is something we'll treasure forever. We have those beautiful words to look back on - to reflect on - and we couldn't have been more pleased with all that she brought to the most special day of our lives together. From start to finish, Courtney was an absolute delight to work with. She is incredibly organized, kept every detail and every person on track with ease, and did it all with such warmth, kindness, and positivity. She truly is a bright light. I am definitely not someone who was born to plan parties, so having Courtney to bounce ideas off of and guide us through the planning process took an enormous weight off my shoulders. My mom passed away a few years ago and I was afraid to plan a wedding on my own, but Courtney became more than a planner she became my friend. She made every decision feel manageable and always made us feel confident that everything was under control. On our wedding day, I never once felt stressed or overwhelmed. Every detail was executed flawlessly, and I was able to be completely present for every special moment instead of worrying about logistics. Seeing everything come together so beautifully was beyond anything we could have imagined, and that was all thanks to Courtney's incredible work behind the scenes. I also want to mention our DJ Brian (who we were able to hire alongside Courtney in a contract together). He also deserves all the praises - there was not one moment where the dance floor wasn't filled and he was SUCH a talented DJ. The online program he used to help compile our song requests was so easy to use and he was so engaging the entire time with our guests. Thank you Brian! We are so happy we trusted you as our DJ, all our family and friends raved about you.  Not to be confused with our amazing DJ - I also would love to recommend DJ Catering. Doug and Courtney have worked together for years and their teamwork was flawless. I had so many people tell us after the wedding that it was the best wedding food they have ever had, by far. And being able to rent all the tables etc through them made the process so simple.  Anyone looking for a wedding coordinator who is organized, professional, genuinely kind, and truly invested in making your day perfect, I cannot recommend Courtney and One Sweet Day Weddings & Events highly enough. She gave us the gift of being able to fully enjoy one of the best days of our lives, and for that we will always be grateful.    P.S. While we thought this may be kind of awkward to speak with someone we didn't personally know, he made it fun and his friendly personality made it pretty easy to discuss things like how my wife and I met, etc. It was a no-brainer to choose him for our ceremony! His communication throughout the wedding planning was awesome. His emails were always on point and he was a true professional in every sense of the word. On the day of the wedding, he showed up earlier than he really even needed to, full of life and excitement for our big day! He gave me a nice little pep talk before the ceremony started (my nerves were killin' me!) and showed that he truly cared... not just about the wedding itself, but about the well-being of my wife and I, and the bright future we had ahead of us. After the wedding/honeymoon, he even sent my wife and I a follow up email. WHAT!?? That just put the icing on the cake! I would definitely recommend Dr. Joe to ANYBODY.
