I've been taking my Black Lab, Pan, here for a few months now for daycare and also the occasional overnight boarding. The staff is all excellent, and very helpful when it comes to anything pet related, from food, to toys to bathing. Pan can't wait to get in and see them, and his other canine friends, when we drop him off.
They expect you to take your dog in for a trial visit for a few hours before the first time you board him/her, in order to ensure your dog won't be too anxious when you leave him/her there.
There are numerous upgrades that you can get for your pet while they're being boarded, including extra walks, treats and kuranda beds.
Markwin also offers obedience training (indoor during the winter and outdoor in the summer) which the owner, Mark, leads. The classes are very small (seems to be a max of 8 dogs), so you get a lot of individual attention. The training is praise-based, as opposed to treat-based, which is vital for a dog like a Lab, which are prone to weight problems. Mark's training has worked wonders for Pan, and has taught us, as owners, a lot as well. read more
