This lovely fountain stands in front of the Stiftskirche. It is one of a half-dozen such fountains in Baden-Baden that are, yes, potable water that is checked regularly by the city and they clean regularly. If you're going to drink from it, I would not suggest filling your water bottle from the pool but instead the spigot. Yes, it's drinkable. There are news articles showing Mayor Alexander Uhlig filling his water bottle at one of the fountains. I was here in November when it was cold but apparently it gets rather hot in Baden-Baden and this will help tourists keep cool. Enjoy!
