We bought the boat last year and it looks a runs great - except the outdrive. Kind of a tough decision, do we try to buy a new one or keep this old bird afloat. With the help of Daves team, we kept her afloat and are give her some new life. Daves Power Automotive & Marine where responsive, understanding of the situation and did everything to keep cost down. We appreciate all the work and work done in a timely manner. We are back to enjoying the water - Thank you.

Stoner Mechanics Warning:…read more A used boat and trailer I'd just bought came off the hitch and (when I tapped the brakes) slammed into the back of my truck ruining the tailgate. When I took it to Dave Powers, I told him,"Do what you have to -just make sure it doesn't happen again". I did note on that first (and subsequen) visits that Powers and most of his employees smelled like pot. Oh well, it's legal, I thought. Powers upsold me over $4,000.00 new trailer parts unrelated to attaching the trailer to the truck promising, "Il'll be like new when you get it back." That was late last fall, I got Covid (long time) then the rain and cold set in and the boat and trailer sat in my barn. Last week, as I was driving it for the first time after Power's "repair", the exact thing happened again. Another tailgate ruined. For the record, I've been attaching trailers to trucks, cars and tractors for about 50 years. It isn't rocket science. When I brought it back, Powers denied any possible responsibility - but did mention that after replacing everything else last fall - he hadn't touched, adjusted or replaced the the business end of the trailer - that attaches to the ball. He and most of his mechanics again smelled like a dirty bong. This time, he changed the hitch - but "forgot (3 times)" to fix the trailer wiring that had been pulled loose when his prior work gave way. Three more wasted round trips. Since most of us operate our machinery in an unimpaired state, you may consider the same criteria when handing your vehicle, boat or trailer over to "Cheech" Powers. BTW, he got one star because "zero" wasn't an option. Greg Smith

On March 29 of this year, I was driving from my home in Bellevue, WA to my sister's home in Salem,…read moreOR. When on HWY 205, my car was rear-ended in a 5-car pileup. I was able to drive it to my sister's house but knew it needed significant body repair. The next day, upon my sister's 100% recommendation, we took my car to Traditional Auto Body & Paint in West Salem. We arrived before the shop was open but Susan came to us and said, "Come inside where it is warm, to wait for the technicians." This much-needed kindness set the tone for five weeks of incredible care and patience. Jonathan Mayorga, Robert Anderson, and all the technicians paid attention to my unique/personal situation in dealing with insurance, my health issues and even getting back home. The professional expertise given to repair my car motivates me to post a FIVE STAR review AND 100% recommendation for TRADITIONAL AUTO BODY & PAINT. The initial examination of my vehicle was thorough, and details were well explained to me. I was updated frequently via phone calls and email regarding estimates and insurance coverage. The full repair of my car was completed in a timely manner, done to my 100% satisfaction, and was cleaned, inside and out, better than it has ever been. I was pleased to be given a detailed report of all the repair that was done, so that I will be able to share this with my repair shop in Bellevue, WA. I certainly do not wish the necessity of auto repair for anyone but, if the occasion does occur, I would highly recommend TRADITIONAL AUTO BODY & PAINT, Salem, Oregon. My sincere thanks to all professionals there! Roberta Mock

Was able to make an inspection appointment same day. Really friendly people throughout entire process! Helped me communicate with the insurance and explained everything well to me. They gave me a call with an update after a week they had my car, which I really appreciated. Car was done when they estimated. Picked up car same day they called. Jonathan and Hunter were really great to work with. They even went out of their way and fixed a pre-existing scratch, which made me really happy. They cleaned my car inside and out, which I was not expecting. Will absolutely come back. Thank you!
