So to start off I wanted to build an Ar15 lower. After a bit of roaming the internet Marks Armory was the cheapest place (for a spikes zombie lower). At the same time I ordered the lower parts kit from another place and I also order the buffer tube and stock kit from another place. Online I read that Marks Armory prices and turnaround time was great so I went ahead and ordered it. As some of you may know the only part that requires an FFL is the lower receiver so I had it sent I called around and found Deer Hunter Guns (Gulf to Bay Blvd) and decided I would use them. So I went ahead and ordered it and used Deer Hunter as the FFL during checkout. Well Deer Hunter Guns wanted me to come in for them to send it which was not a problem because they are close to my house. So in short they told me we don't do stripped lowers, because we don't want to attract attention from the government, after they had already told me over the phone it would be ok. So this is when the problem began, I tried to call Marks Armory and no one answered, so I called the same day at a later time no answer then i emailed them but it said your mail can not be delivered because the inbox is full. So i did the same thing the next day but i decided to leave a voicemail telling them that I wanted to change my FFL destination to [New place]. I gave it a break for a few days and the weekend and called again no answer. Then I went to send another email and noticed that I received an email from them an hour or so before (about the same time that i tried to call) saying we are waiting to receive your FFL info from [New place] so this showed me that they have received my voicemail. I tried to send a reply but there inbox was still full. So I said ok I'll wait and see if the item status changes on Marks Armory website. So its been about two weeks now and the status is processing. Thats when I decided it was too much and canceled my order because both of my other orders (the lower parts kit and the buffer tube assembly) had already come within days of ordering so I was left waiting for the lower to complete my build.
Even though the problem with Deer Hunter Guns not wanting to deal with Ar15s was not Marks Armories fault it caused me to find out how much their customer service SUCKS. They have NO WAY OF GETTING CONTACTED, you can't email them and they don't answer phones at any time of the day (I called 5 plus times at different times of the day). It seemed as if they didn't want to talk over the phone.
I WILL NEVER BE DOING BUSINESS WITH MARKS ARMORY AGAIN read more
