Marks and Spencer's Harrogate location is one of the larger stores in the city centre, located on Cambridge Street, it is home to many facilities you'd expect to find in a Marks and Spencer store including:
- Cafe
- Clothing
- Food Hall
- Opticians
The Food Hall is a decent size, but I was disappointed with the selection overall, certain areas of the store were certainly depleted, especially dairy, I was unable to find the particular type of milk I was looking for.
The staff seem friendly enough and the store was both clean and presentable.
I like how the Food Hall can be accessed through street level, which means you don't have to bother with finding the escalator/elevator, as you would from the main entrance - much quicker to get in and out when looking for groceries!
I do find the store closes far too early, closing a supermarket at 6 pm seems unacceptable to me, compared to nearby ASDA which closes at midnight, and Waitrose which closes at 8 pm, I've found most Marks and Spencer stores elsewhere to stay open a little later, generally until 8 pm, which I much prefer.
3* - A great brand to have in the town centre, improving opening hours and stock levels are big improvements for the near future. read more
