All seemed well, he never sent me pictures as promised so that's why I never wrote my review until more time passed.. Sold my house and the nightmare begins once winter rain hits, I'm told there's a leak. The buyers of my house get roofers to look at it and I'm horrified. The work he did was BAD patchup, never removed the old roof! HE NEVER PULLED PERMITS please take my advice and go with a professional licensed contractor I am in the process of filing complaints with the state contractors licensing board and getting reimbursed for the new roof I have to place since he lied about pulling permits. I have been trying to resolve this with Gustavo who at first was willing to fix the leak but (surprise) did not want to pull permits because he did a poor job piling layers on top of an old roof. He is no longer responding to calls, texts, or emails. In a month Gustavo if he is licensed may lose it, don't go for nice. I am regretting it.

I called 15 places, over the weekend, and Gustavo was the ONLY person I actually got on the phone, live (there was one other company that had an answering service). Not that I blame other business owners for not answering the phone on their days off, but I have to say I admired the fact that Gustavo obviously goes above and beyond in this regard. I told him about the situation and mentioned that my aunt may need a new roof just to get homeowner's insurance. I told him I thought it was silly because the roof doesn't seem to have any damage, and it doesn't leak WHATSOEVER. He told me had a call just like this about a week ago and he said sometimes you can just write a roofing inspection report and show it to the insurance company, and you don't have to do a whole new roof after all. Well hot, diggity damn! I love it when I see honest business owners tell the truth in order to try to save people money. This guy easily could have been the first contractor out to see us (since he was the first person who I was able to get ahold of). Instead of trying to make a quick buck off my aunt, he offered a solution that could potentially save her over $10,000! Thanks so much Gustavo. He showed up on time for the bid, for the work, and got it completed in an efficient manner. The job wound up taking a little longer than he anticipated due to extra piping around the foundation, but he still came in on budget. When there was a question about expanding the scope of the job, he recommended against the added expense of jacking up another area of the house because it was only slightly out of plumb instead of trying to convince us to spend more money. He's a honest guy and a hard worker, and his crew were polite, efficient, and from what I could tell, very good.

He started work and finished exactly on schedule. For larger projects, I would go with more of a general contractor who can directly coordinate a large number of subcontractors. Then again, others in our neighborhood who have acted as their own prime contractor have used Adam and have been very happy with his work.

I was building a 460 sf accessory structure and after pouring the foundation and having started building the framing; I realized that the contractor I had at the time didn't read the plans properly and didn't do things the way they should've been done. As you can imagine I completely lost trust on him. I knew I couldn't carry on working with him. After reaching to my other previous contractors, they were busy or too expensive. I reached out to a painter who had worked for me in a previous remodel and I loved the quality of his work to see if he knew anyone who was good and honest and would take over on a project started by someone else. Fredi came and gave me a fair quote and started the work. He found a few mistakes and instead of complaining of the work done by the previous contractor he just fixed the mistakes. I was surprised to see how easy was to work with him. Also, we worked together on the small changes that I came up after agreeing with the quote and also he suggested the use of other materials to reduce the price difference. All of his team wore masks all the time and were really respectful to me. Bear in mind I'm a woman overseeing the whole project. I never felt uncomfortable when I would go and check the work and there were 4-6 guys working. I have done remodels in the past and this has been an issue where either the contractor or sub-contractors wouldn't treat me the same as they would treat my husband. Fredi said it would take 2 months to do the project and it was completed in that time frame! I was there when the final inspection was done and the Inspector praised the guys for doing such a good job. I was surprise to hear that coming from the city's inspector and knowing how strict they can be. After we did the final walk through to make sure everything looked right, he didn't leave until everything was well taken care of. The quality of the work during the different stages of the construction was always great, better that I could've ever expected. Eric and Mike took the time to properly diagnose the issue and found that the problem was simply a depleted battery. They replaced the battery, tested the system, and confirmed that the rest of the gate operator was in good shape. I really appreciated their straightforward, repair-first approach.
