At the end of the round I thanked him for his suggestions and told him he should coach. He explained that he did coach and I started lessons and playing rounds with him very soon thereafter. Kyle is an exceptional coach who has been very patient with me in terms of helping me break bad habits in all aspects of the game. I've been working with him for 3 years now and my game has improved significantly. Kyle's focus on balance and proper hip rotation has greatly improved my swing. I couldn't hit out of the traps or chip worth a crap and I've become decent at both. I'd suggest that you both take lessons and play rounds with him if possible as he provides great practical tips and reads greens better than anyone I've played with. In addition to being a great coach, Kyle is a really good and fun guy. I highly recommend Coach Kyle; particularly if you're a beginner and/or have bad habits like I did.

During a big golf trip two years ago, I developed a major shank in my irons and had lost all confidence in my game. I was back to three digit scores and would celebrate if I broke 100. I took a break and finally decided to seriously consider lessons. I found Laurent through TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) as he was one of the highest rated teachers in the area. I went in for an assessment and in that session alone he was able to address some things that had me go from shank to baby draws at the end. I signed up for a lesson package that consisted of 5x two hour lessons. In my first and only lesson, we focused on iron shots and permanently removing the shank. He tried many different approaches to get me to address my problem and we used the entire two hours to find the right fix. After the lesson, he texted me a practice plan with a breakdown of the drills I needed to do every day. His follow-up and willingness to put in the extra effort in communication outside of the lesson shows he cares and see this as a team effort. He holds you accountable for the effort and discipline needed to succeed. This is where the value of his coaching style stands out, you get way more than you pay for. Rather than go back in for a second lesson, I focused on the drills and implementing what we worked on in my game. I did this all summer on a regular basis. I'm now consistently shooting in the 80's and my playing buddies have noticed the difference. This with just one iron lesson. I'm now anxious to go back and work on some of my iron misses and start working on woods. On top of all the great coaching, he also shows a lot of interest in me personally and has helped me connect with other folks in his network. I had assumed that would be a personalized plan on how we would improve my game. But it was just a list of his rates for different ranges of people. I'm sure the same thing he sends to everyone. If that was all he was going to send, why not just give me that info before the assessment? Also, I understand this is an assessment and not a lesson but I think the assessment is not only for him to assess me but for me to gauge how I like his teaching style. Alas, I didn't get any comment on my swing or what he would be trying to improve. So I asked him over text what his plan for me was but he ignored the question and just responded with something about not competing with youtube or range "pros". edit(Response to his comment): Nothing I said is incorrect. You are right you sent me your rates on Sept 24th 2022 at 12:54pm. That is AFTER the assessment @9am on the same day. I've attached our texts as proof. I love that you get a replay of every swing you take for instant feedback. Charlie is also really friendly and goes to each bay to give tips. I still have my private lessons with him, but the advice he gives when I just go practice is what makes it so worth it. Charlie's approach with me has been to unlearn all the YouTube and over-technical things I've taught myself, with more feel and understanding of the golf swing, including golf fitness. My handicap initially shot up as I unlearned bad habits, but it has steadily decreased with lots more to learn. Highly recommend G6.

I have always wanted to learn the game of golf and after 2 weeks of lessons with John the horizon is nothing but brighter for this ADHD 55 year old! When being taught by John, it's all about the fundamentals and building the foundation necessary to progress! With each skill building off the last, John creates consistency in not only your game, but in your mind as well. I have enjoyed learning what theoretically is the easiest concept possible for a sport, get the little white ball into a hole, but when reality sets in this game will make a grown sensible man waste $400 by snapping a club over his knee in pure frustration. I want to start this review with a high-level background of my "golfing profile" to provide readers…read moreof this review with additional context related to my experience with / perspective of Jim Hartnett. I started playing golf when I was 10 years old (now 39yo), learning the game from 3-4 different teaching professionals from the age of 10 - 17. I played competitively via junior golf and high school golf with a low index of 4.2, and currently am a weekend hacker carrying a 6.1 index. After my high school golf "career", I swore off teaching professionals because I found that the lessons I received conflicted with the golf swing my mind and body were searching for. I was lucky enough to stumble upon Jim Hartnett when signing up for a gym membership at the same facility that Jim gives golf lessons at. Prior to meeting Jim in-person, I thoroughly researched him online, and stumbled upon what I believe to be one of the best & most insightful golf books I've ever read--"Golf for the other 80%: The answer to why you can't improve". After reading his book from cover to cover, I knew I needed to see the application of his golf swing theories first hand, and subsequently had a one hour golf lesson with Jim. Simply put, Jim is a true maverick in the golf instruction space. His approach to golf instruction is completely different from the numerous golf lessons I've had in the past. Jim is incredibly knowledgeable about the golf swing and its associated mechanics, applies the latest and greatest golf swing technology into his lessons, and approaches teaching in a much more practical application manner vs theoretical / didactic manner, which I very much appreciated. After my first one hour lesson with Jim, my understanding of the golf swing had taken a quantum leap forward, and many of the golf swing mysteries I had been trying to solve for years were finally put into focus. My drives are longer and straighter, all my  irons are longer now, which makes me overshoot the greens (that is infuriating) but it's a good problem to have. Nothing that can't be worked out at the range, I really like the fact that we can stay after lessons and use your facility for practice. I like the fact that you kept the cost minimal, it's like a bucket at the range but with professional grade equipment with immediate feedback on performance. Here I can tell immediately what I did right or wrong by looking at the monitor, at the range I just wonder what happened?.
