Went to renew my license and had a less than desirable experience. It was better years ago…read more Checked in, but told I had to wait another 10 minutes to receive ticket. Went back and had to stand in a long line. I told the staff member at the desk, a different one that I needed to get a ticket. I had to get back in line. Finally, she called me back. I had to read the vision chart. The machine was filthy and it was smudged. They don't clean in between people putting their faces up to the machine. Pretty poor sanitary conditions. Anyway, they are not very personable or efficient Finally went to get a new license and had to wait forever. It was not that busy at the time. I will say that the young man who took care of me with getting my picture taken was very nice. The photo machine does not work very well at all and I had to take my picture twice. When it was finally printed, it was still very bright on one side. I was asked if I wanted to take another picture, but declined, as I would have had to wait longer. The building may be new and bigger, but it doesn't change the fact that it was more disorganized than I have ever experienced with the old DMV and no precautions concerning diseases, by wiping the machines.

I received the email that I would first need to send in or drop off a current tax return and investment statements. Simple enough I thought until I showed up at the office with the requested documents on March 7th in the afternoon. The unprofessional service I received was just hurtful. The woman in the office who I believe to be Krista Lynn told me without looking at the documents and without knowing my situation told me "We're not a good fit for you." I've been around for a long time when someone says that to you even though you fit the requirements for service but they still turn you away it's usually for one discriminating reason. I hate to think that in 2025 people are still racially motivated to do and say hurtful things or stand in the way of a person's attempt for success but I know all to well what this feels like and there is no mistaking it. She didn't even attempt to give me a legitimate reason why she denied me a free consultation. She did however try to tell me that their services for clients range from $300 to $3000 a month stereotyping me as a black person that couldn't afford it hoping the big numbers would scare me off. She also tried to move the goal post going from just needing a tax return and investment statements to now needing the trust documents as well as the deeds to the properties. Which aren't difficult to get but she didn't meantion that until that moment and it just felt like more excuses to deny me service and get me to leave. The worst part is having to explain what just happened and why to my son who was with me to witness this disgraceful event. So yes one star for discrimination wish I could give less. It took me a few days to respond to this situation as I figure out what steps to take next and I hesitated to post this at all but it must be known. All it takes for evil to succeed is for good people to do nothing.

They are quick to pay your claim & their adjusters were honest. You have to become a member of some type of PAC at $41 per month--3/1/19. You recv $1300 in acc death benefits & you recv a farm catalogue that allows you to purchase foods, plants, trees, goods fm farms, lg land acreage, & equip, etc. You are also invited to an annual lucheon/dinner in the Gainesville area. I didn't give them a higher score because your membership is compulsory not voluntary. Like most ins. co., they drop you or raise your rates if you have hurr. damage claims. Isn't that what ins. is for? We had 2 roof claims bet. 2004-2012 due to maj. hurr. So in 20 yrs we only had $30,000 in claims, but we paid out to this ins. co. for 1 hm & 2 autos bundled $388,000 over 20 yr. We cd have built a new house. Do the math!
