I got very lucky today. I found Ben by reading Yelp reviews. Last night all of our kitchen outlets went down. No coffee, no toaster over, no air fryer, etc. We have two growing boys and needed our kitchen working. I called Ben around 10:00 AM and he was to my house by 12:30 PM! Fast! i was wondering just what kind of electrician I would get. To my absolute delete, Ben showed up! He was knowledgeable, pleasant, intelligent (even teaching me about the issue while he worked) and had our issue fixed with an hour. On top of all of that, he quoted me a price before he came. When he got here he discovered the issue was a little more involved and needed to get a different part at Home Depot. He left, was gone and back within 15 minutes. EVEN WITH BUYING THE PART, TRAVELING TO HOME DEPOT AND BACK HE STILL KEPT HIS QUOTE TO WHAT HE HAD QUOTED ME BEFORE HE KNEW THE ISSUE WAS MORE INVOLVED. Like I said, I lucked out today and somehow found Ben. He is now in my iPhone contacts for "Electrician". Great guy, fixed the problem, and even though he had to leave an buy a part that neither of us knew we would need, he still only charged me what he originally quoted me. Everything was going great till we ran it and the fan wabbled excessively at speeds above 3 out of 6. Roman's response was that it was a large fan which is nonsense, the fans blades need adjustment as mentioned in the manual to ensure they are all the same height from ceiling. There's also a weigh kit included. Worst part was that he was not even willing to try. Even a small deviation will cause the wabble. I'm sure if you're installing a smaller than 72" fan Roman will do a great job but if you have a larger fan I'd look elsewhere and verify they will not leave you with a wabbling fan.

Jose presented a range of alternatives with estimates. We settled on new underground service on the other side of the house. He pulled the permit, set up a combo meter base, grounding wires, converted the fuse box to a junction box. Wasn't easy with an 18-inch clear crawl space, crazy old circuits that still needed power while waiting for Duke Energy to run the line and place the meter. Then back to Jose to transition the circuits from the junction box to the new meter. I could not be happier with my choice of J & S Electrical Solutions for this work. I was blown away by his analysis, planning and executing the work with great attention to detail, and of course by doing the difficult work with great skill. By 12:30 he had arrived. Jose was respectful of my home the entire time he was there. He took care to cover his shoes prior to entering my home. He also introduced himself at the door. He greeted me with a smile. In less than 5 minutes he heard about our issue with the electric going out and what was going on and conversed with us about it. He gave us two options to address the issue, one of them being a full diagnostic costing $347. He walked us through the pros and cons of both options. He fixed the issue within 10 minutes. We are very pleased with the work done. We learned that this is he and his wife's business. He is licensed in North Carolina and serves the greater Charlotte area (we live in Harrisburg). I can also appreciate anyone providing a service with integrity and good customer service. So glad we were able to support a local, family owned business.
