I attended my first appointment on October 22, 2025, liked Dr. Greenbaum and he and I discussed my options for surgery. It appeared that on the day on arrived, there was only one office staff member and she asked me to call the next day to set up a date for surgery and pre-op, which I did. She gave me a tentative date of 11/17/25 but told me that she needed to receive an authorization from my insurance, my PCP needed to complete a questionnaire regarding my health and then she needed to make sure the surgical center still had that date available. On November 7th, I phoned the office to inquire on the status of my surgery and pre-op dates, but no one answered the phone, so I left a detailed message for a callback. On November 10th, I hadn't heard from the office, so called again and once again, no one answered the phone. I left another detailed message for a callback with information. When I didn't receive a call from the office again, I left another message on 11/11/25 (yes, it was Veteran's Day), but never received a call back for that message either. I called again on 11/12/25 and left another message, because no one answered the phone, but no one returned that message. At the end of the day, I called and left another message to let them know that I am not interested in commencing surgery with this office, as they will not return calls, which makes me feel unsafe with putting my health in their hands. I never received a call back from this office to this day (11/18/25). I'm not sure what the problem is in the office, but I feel as though they are not interested in providing quality customer service.

I broke down and went to see a podiatrist recommended by my primary care physician. Dr Greg Waller took a couple of x-rays and then sat down with my foot in his hands, cut away at a large callous where my bent toe was pushed up against the one next to it, gave me some gel toe rings to put around the offending toe; That was it! -- No recommendation of surgery (which I was expecting) nor any other sort of $$$ treatment. I was dubious that little bit of treatment would suffice, but there was no more pain! Over a year later I went back with the same complaint and he fixed it again. Now I'm going in every couple of months to have my toenails cut (I can't see well enough any more to do it myself). Everyone there is pleasant, the office is easy to get to, the chairs are comfortable, even has rocking chairs on the porch -- no complaints! -- Evelyn Brown

Unfortunately, the damage was done to my training schedule, so I didn't run the half, but I did manage to haul my ass up Heart Attack Hill for the Peachtree Rd. Race! It was causing her extreme pain and discomfort. In her mental state it's often hard to explain to her that it was going to take time to get her an appointment. I called everyone in Gainesville and Dahlonega area explaining her problems and that we were afraid that it was going to become blood poisoning soon. Not one office could find time to help us in under 1 to 2 weeks! I was given their name and I called, explained what was going on and I was told that no matter what, they would take care of her toe the next morning! Mom doesn't always understand what's going on but he took the time to try to explain what he was doing and really put her at ease.
