I had no pain, no infection, and my face was neither swollen nor disfigured. Dr Fereidoun Harandian's assistant before he came into the room to see me and to speak to me, started taking X-rays and photos of my teeth one by one, as well as a panoramic X-ray. I explained to the assistant that I only wanted to repair one tooth. She said that it was mandatory to take X-rays of all my teeth. When Dr Fereidoun Harandian entered the room, he showed me the photos and told me that several teeth needed repair. He found 14 teeth that needed repair and gave me a cost estimate of $2,643.00. The examination and X-rays cost me $285. He said he would fill the tooth and gave an estimate of $283.00 for tooth #36. I had warned him of my insurance limit which was $2000 at that time and asked him to keep the cost within the limit of the insurance as I was not able to pay from pocket if the tooth repair exceeded that amount. On August 14, he began the dental work. He repaired three other teeth which were not at all urgent in addition to tooth #36. He drilled tooth #36 too deeply and made a hole in the pulp and then filled the tooth. At the end of the operation, while I was still under the effect of anesthesia and in front of his assistant, who was a witness, he told me he saw blood coming from the pulp and that I should return to him for a root canal. He said that my tooth would be sensitive to hot and cold for several weeks and scheduled a root canal for September 23. Shortly after the August 14th visit, the injury to the root of my tooth caused severe pain, infection, and swelling of my face. Because of intense pain and infection, I canceled the appointment for September 23rd. I had completely lost faith in him and refused to allow him to perform any further operations on me. Dr Harandian repaired four teeth and billed my insurance company for a dental procedure that was misdiagnosed and performed at a cost higher than the initial estimate ($403). Why didn't he send me for a root canal treatment if the tooth decay was too deep? Hadn't he charged me for a full exam already? I wrote to him twice, while suffering from intense pain, and asked him to reimburse my insurance company for the $403 which he had billed me for the botched work done on tooth #36 so that I could get a root canal treatment. He refused to reimburse my insurance company and to help me receive the urgent treatment I needed. I suffered for months until I was able to save enough money to go and get a root canal with the endodontist whom I knew and trusted. The experience at the Denticare inc has been a nightmare which has lasted up to this day. I wish I had never set foot inside that clinic. I cannot count the number of times I blamed myself for choosing Dr Fereidoun Harandian as a dentist. After having read about patients who had been hurt on https://citoyens.soquij.qc.ca/, I realize that I was not the only one who had suffered. Next time I will be a lot more vigilant when choosing a dentist. and conduct a complete background check of the dentist.

This hospital has some careless nurses , not all just a few rotten apples who have no empathy for…read morepatients, they just gave up on caring for patients. My mother had a angina episode and the nurse on duty was in a hurry to go home after her shift and didn't want to check on my mother's vitals and told me it's probably just nausea and she just needs a gravol pill , but I insisted on taking her vitals and grudgingly she did and very rude doing it , then all of a sudden after taking my mother's blood pressure she realized it was not nausea and something more serious, then called the doctor and rapidly after the doctor came in they gave my mother nitro spray and did a few more tests. My insistence on checking my mothers pressure is the only reason my mother wasn't left alone while having a angina attack and suffering alone with just nurses aids who pop in the room just to see if the patient is on the bed or not and they do absolutely nothing else but seeing if the patient is still in the room. If I let it go the way the nurse wanted to just to give her a gravol pill my mother would have not lasted the night. This happened in 2021 and that's not the only mistake that happened before she passed away with liquid in her lungs waiting till after the weekend, because they don't do surgery on the weekends so my mother had to wait two days to drain her lungs, but she didn't last two days, she died in her bed when I found her dead at 6:30am and the nurses didn't even know that she passed away before I arrived at 6:30am. The staff ran all in to revive her but she probably died an hour before I arrived at 6:30am , too late to save her and nobody there realized that she passed away before I arrived at 6:30am. They rushed us to get arrangements done probably so we wouldn't do an autopsy to find out her exact time of death during the night before I arrived at 6:30am. The Hospital should be investigated, I'm sure there has been plenty of people who fall through the cracks at this hospital and are not treated properly.
