I had a large amalgam filling changed out on April 1st and am pleased and relieved to report that he is the gentlest dentist that I've ever had. It took barely an hour to replace the filling and the entire procedure was painless. He was calm as he worked which helped me calm down, and his assistant was a Pro with the suction tube. Not once did I have to gargle and gasp to bring attention to rising "water levels". So now I have a fabulous new white tooth where the dull grey one was and I'm no longer self-conscious about smiling. Change is good, but not too much at one time so I love the fact that Dr. Seminara kept Dr. Dobby's old crew. Yay!

I had been thinking about invisalign for like 5 years prior to this visit. When you first arrival, you have your consult with Michelle, She takes some pictures and talks you through the treatment. Then she introduces you to Dr.Korne and he answers any questions you might have. Let me tell you, I cried a lot during this process and it was literally just us talking. Michelle was super nice and reassuring. She was just such a ray of sunshine, that it was exactly what I needed to go through with getting this done. She answered every call and email with so much love and patience. You come back a few weeks later and they show you options of what they'd like to do for your teeth. It's actually really cool, they give you this log in and you can check the progress and what your teeth will look like. He gave me three options, which I really liked. One that was easier for me, someone with a lot of trauma concerning dentist. One that I wouldn't like but he really thought I would get the nicest smile with that option.. and a middle option. He gave me three because he wanted to do what I felt comfortable with. I ended up doing his option after much crying. (it was very much so worth it) Dr. Korne is nice and exceptionally talented. He would make an effort of dealing with my anxiety and tried to make me feel better, which was very sweet of him because I could tell he didn't understand where I was coming from. I appreciate his effort so much. :) Anna, takes a moulding on your mouth to really get the processes started. She's a bit rougher then I'd like and not as understanding, But she is very talented, patient and has a kindness to her. His assistant Jenny is my favourite! She's so kind and high energy. She was very sweet with the understanding of my anxiety and quickly understood how to work with me to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible. She made the experience at this clinic wonderful. This orthodontist is pretty expensive, But absolutely worth it. They offer payment plans as well and really work with you to make sure you can afford it. I never once felt like they were out to get my money. I love how Dr.Korne provides matching outfits for his staff. The two lovely ladies at the reception are always matching and it just makes me happy. They are so bubbly, sweet and just gentle individuals. I love walking into his office. All the technicians have matching outfits as well, it's just great! The office is bright and very clean. They don't offer parking however it's in an area of Westmount, That i've never had an issue finding parking. If you're petrified of the dentist/orthodontist, this is the office for you. I've never once felt stupid for crying because I was scared.. and I started this process when I was thirty.

Dr. Rein always takes the time to explain what is going on, he doesn't rush, and does a thorough job. He works with an assistant most of the time instead of just doing stuff by himself, which I find makes the whole process less painful and goes more smoothly since he can concentrate on what he has to do, and the assistant is allowed to take care of the smaller stuff like keeping the drool vacuumed up and such. I like that the admin can just submit my stuff directly to the insurance company and I don't have to mess with filling out a form like my last dentist. The staff seems to be comfortable working in both English or French if that is a concern of yours. His staff is super pleasant to deal with and always friendly, especially the lady who works at the front. If you haven't been to a dentist in a while for whatever reason, they don't give you an enormous lecture, which I appreciate. He's given me a referral before, to get a root canal, and the dentist he recommended was also excellent. Additionally, he doesn't try to sell me on extra stuff, which I appreciate. Seems to take pride in his work and likes being a dentist; a lot of the equipment he uses seems up-to-date and cool. tldr: Pretty convenient to the metro, dentist who knows his stuff, doesn't sell you extra things, doesn't treat you like an idiot, up-to-date equipment, nice staff.

My own experience with Dr. Bautista was phenomenal. I'd waited too long to take care of an abscessed tooth and the pain was worse than unbearable. Without hesitation, the staff accommodated me for an appointment ASAP. The dental hygienist who saw me was super understanding, calm and social. I'm the type of person who is crazy nervous at the dentist, but she made me feel super comfortable. I was quickly scheduled for a root canal, and when the time came, let me tell you, I don't think I've ever been more anxious. Again, the front staff made me feel so at ease... I should have listened to their reassurance, because honestly Dr. Bautista did an awesome job. I felt literally no pain during the whole procedure, and he was even cracking a few jokes throughout; and in the end, he did a fantastic job. It's a few days later and I still don't feel any pain or discomfort. Bottom line, I've never felt more welcomed or comfortable at a dentist's office, ever. The office is top notch and the machinery is up to date; the entire staff is outstanding, super professional, kind and welcoming. We have had our fair share of negative experiences with Dentists in Montreal but with Dr. Pizem, we've had excellent results! He insists that everything must be perfect. From root canals, basic fillings, and crowns. He is a very skilled Endodontist and uses state-of-the-art equipment. Between my hubby and I, he's performed about 4 or 5 root canals total, each one having great results in the end. No complications. No errors in the procedure. When it comes to crowns, if it is not perfect then he will do whatever necessary to fix it. This includes redoing the crown completely. Having said all this, Dr. Pizem charges more then the standard Dental Fee Guide of Quebec. A crown is about $1,070.00, as an example so it's best to have insurance to help. A cleaning is I believe +/- $150.00 (rough estimate here, I don't remember 100%). They see you on-time most of the time. Once in a while they run late, but this is happens everywhere. We will continue to see Dr. Pizem & staff for our general cleanings & dental work because we have confidence in the staff there to deliver safe and assuring treatment.
