I had struggled with anxiety for over half my life, to the point where even leaving my house felt overwhelming. As my anxiety worsened, my world kept getting smaller, I wasn't living much of a life. Starting this journey was scary, but Deanne made me feel completely heard during my consultation, and I knew I was in the right place to heal. I've now completed 17 sessions, and I'm honestly amazed at how much my life has changed. I'm facing triggers head-on with little to no difficulty, and I finally feel like I'm living again. If you're on the fence, go--show up scared, show up unsure. I only wish I had found this sooner. Thank you, especially to Bennett, for helping me through my hardest moments and celebrating my progress every step of the way.

As someone who struggles with ADHD, OCD and depression, I noticed a significant improvement in symptoms. Together coupled with the life coaching that they now offer it really helped me a lot. I plan on picking up more sessions in the future when I have some more time. I highly recommend them if you are struggling with any mental health disorders, especially ADHD & OCD which are some of the more stubborn disorders. Neurofeedback is a unique approach and really does wonders. Do yourself a favor and give them a shot, I can't recommend them enough!

Finding Dr. Tull has been a life-changing experience for me, she listens, she understands, she is firm and she is kind. She really understands where the things that plague me come from, and why, and how it affects me today. In addition to my father being at the end of life, family dynamics were really unbearable and seeing Kathryn really helped. Our first session was 2 hours so I could give her the back story. I thought that was really nice to have that longer session, as a 50 minute time period can fly by quickly, especially when you really need immediate support. Kathryn was an incredible listener and very compassionate. I felt extremely comfortable with her right away. I highly recommend her services. She has a lot to offer someone who is looking for a therapist. She is confident and solid in her approach. At the end of my stay, she wished me well and instructed me to continue with therapy or grief counseling, which I did. I really felt she cared about me and my situation. I am in gratitude and appreciation of the time she spent with me and the help and ease those sessions lent to my peace of mind. Thank you, Kathryn. You were truly an angel for me.

One of my kids is nearly complete with their therapy and according to the therapist, can throttle back to an as-needed schedule. Quick results that I am seeing! The negative reviews generally make me confused as our experience has been positive at Novell & Novell. I think people need to be mentally ready to undergo therapy - especially parents. Which I suspect, may be influencing some of these negative reviews. It can be a vulnerable and intimidating process but ultimately you are here because you want to be better, or you want your kids to be better. That means getting uncomfortable. Progress doesn't come easy. Certainly not by staying in your comfort zone. If that was the case, there simply would not be a need for therapists.

Usually I don't write negative reviews. This is one of the few times I believe a negative review is…read moresorely warranted. Places like this profit off of vulnerable people, when they are at their lowest. It's disgusting the way I was treated as a young adult in the OCD program (might've been a different house than this one, but this review is for the general OCD residential program at Newport Institute). Let me walk you through the awful experience of being here: 1. Right when you arrive, they confiscate all your belongings, throw your clothes in the wash, and all your personal items are taken away and can only be retrieved on request. I thought I was going to a residential treatment facility, not a prison? They never tell you this on the phone when they are trying to get you to come to the program and take your money. 2. The food's pretty awful, especially for vegetarians. Getting accommodations for food is very difficult. 3. Your phone is taken away, and you only get 3 10 minute calls per day to call anyone you want. That's all the contact with the outside world you get. You can "earn" more time, but that's ridiculous. I should be able to contact people without them tearing away my phone from me. 4. You can't leave the house (even for a walk) without one of the staff attending to you. It's like house arrest. 5. They lock EVERYTHING up. Not just knives and sharps (which is odd, because this program is for OCD, not for suicidal people...). But they lock away YOUR HYGIENE supplies, HAND SOAP, plastic bags, and TOILET PAPER. Yes, some people may have OCD around these things, and for them that might be worth it. But for others who don't, this is INCREDIBLY frustrating. 6. The OCD staff is SORELY undertrained. The two therapists at the facility just had a FEW MONTHS of OCD training. That is ridiculous. Residential is the highest level of care for OCD, and they hire newbies to try and deal with them? It's a clear money-grab operation. 7. The staff all wanted to cover their asses and do the thing told to them by their bosses despite the effect on the patients. 8. MOST IMPORTANTLY, they basically lock you up, and make it INCREDIBLY difficult to leave the program for good. I was traumatized by my experience trying to leave. I was having a terrible time there, and I wanted to leave. They told me that they may want me to stay up to several months there??? There was no way I wanted to stay there for several months, so I tried to leave. But they set up all these "invisible" hoops for me to jump through. I couldn't get my phone back (which they lock away) to call an Uber/book a flight to leave because I myself didn't pay for my phone plan (my relatives did). Apparently, that's a rule that is never told to you. They also threatened to call social services to do a suicide safety check with me if I leave, despite me showing no suicidal symptoms while there. I had to covertly get my phone and quickly change it so that I paid for my phone plan before anyone saw. Then, as I was getting ready to leave, my "wonderful" (sarcasm) therapist was extremely pissed off with me, as was majority of the staff. The main people who showed compassion were the OTHER residents, not the staff. That goes to show how screwed up of a place this is. Being here was honestly one of the worst and most scarring experiences of my life. I don't wish this place on anyone. This place wasn't supposed to be an inpatient psych ward where they lock everything up. There's supposed to be a difference between residential treatment and a hospital psych ward. Residential treatment rules are supposed to be more lax, since it's not a place for acute crises (like suicidality) -- psych wards are. But, I guess these people just didn't know or didn't care. If you're looking for residential OCD treatment, DO NOT go here. I would recommend this place in Houston instead: https://ocditexas.com. Another place (that I haven't personally gone to but have heard good things) is McLean Hospital in Boston. They will actually treat you as human beings there. Don't go here, please.

The payment was mandated by the court in full responsibility of the father in which you signed an agreement with acknowledging that. My name was never even in the payment agreement that you drafted for my ex-husband. There was also no loss in court luckily our judge made the right decision for the children. This was an attempted murder case and Family Court gets involved regardless when there are kids involved. Also, the fact that you look at as a winning and losing situation just shows your ineptness for your field of work. You tried to insert yourself with the court hearings in which the court turned you down. Both the D.A's office with criminal court and family court turned you down. You are more concerned about how you look and defending your false position, you manipulate and have no remorse for your behavior with minors. You have no empathy and at times your behavior was very aggressive. You are the true definition of a sociopath. You were too emotionally involved with the perpetrator who tried to murder a family, which leads me to believe that there was a sociopathic tie to this criminal. Regardless, you are a shister, a liar and beyond anything should not be allowed to work in this field. Who knows how many countless families you've screwed up because of your ego and improper ways of practice. The only reason we chose you is because you were the only therapist practicing during Covid in person in our area. This was a huge mistake on my part. Original review: Cathryn Leff is extremely incompetent and unprofessional. I took my children to her because she was the only person open during Covid and it was a court order for reunification counseling. I don't understand how she can even be allowed to work with kids. My children were trying to open up to her about the abuse that they witnessed from the father and she called them liars and as they sat there and cried, she called me to come pick up the kids and was completely unprepared. She has no scope of how to deal with these issues when it comes to minors. She will take the side of whoever is paying her and doesn't take into consideration the welfare or well-being of minor children and special circumstances. The setting of her home is completely unprofessional. I do not recommend her to anyone. She doesn't know how to write letters to the court and instead of being forthright and telling us that this is beyond her scope and understanding she took on our case because of the money. It was detrimental to my children to go to her for sessions and I am thankful it was only a handful of times and not for a prolonged period of time. Please do your research before hiring someone like her, I still am not sure how this state allows her to carry a license for counseling because she Is completely inapt and shouldn't be counseling minors at all!
