EXPENSIVE. No working with you on payments. Refused to see my ASD son. Missed several cavities in my other son.

The front desk made check-in quick and easy, and I barely had to wait before being called in. Dr. Marco was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything clearly, which really helped me feel comfortable and informed about my treatment. They were gentle, thorough, and made sure I wasn't experiencing any discomfort during the procedure. The office itself was very clean, modern, and well-organized, which added to the overall positive experience. Overall, I highly recommend this dental office to anyone looking for high-quality care in a comfortable and friendly environment. I'll definitely be coming back!

Let me begin by stating my first 7 visits were very pleasant as I had a TON of dental work that…read moreneeded to be completed. work completed was as follows: several fillings, a root canal, post core and crown and 2 cleanings by 2 different hygienists which were both wonderful. Unfortunately today upon arriving for my 3rd cleaning appointment at this office with a hygienist I hadn't seen before I was extremely disappointed. I was alerted by the hygienist I needed a full set of X-rays before my cleaning. I told her I would like to skip them and wait until my next visit (as I have had my fair share of X-rays this year and just wanted to put them off for a bit). keep in mind they have done work all over my mouth over the past year and do have an abundance of X-rays fairly recent of most of my teeth. She then proceeded to insist I have them and when I again kindly told her I wanted to put them off she went to "ask the Dr." upon returning she told me I had to have the X-rays as this was an "office policy" or she would not do my cleaning. I said ok I'll just skip it then and left. I am writing this review because after paying out of pocket for a significant amount of dental work to this practice I finally have healthy teeth and was only there for a cleaning which my insurance covered I felt like it was X-rays (which I am fully aware of what they can bill insurance for as I previously managed several dental offices and worked as an assistant in a few also) so they could bill more or no cleaning (which they don't get paid much from insurance) It just really changed my view of this practice and made me feel like once the cash cow was done the friendly service was too. Too bad because I thought I had found a wonderful dentist and this experience has made me seeking a new dentist.

I was assured that a few Motrin would take care of any pain that i may experience and they sent me on my way. Here I am 9 hours & 5 Motrin later and I'm about ready to rip the teeth out of my mouth. I feel like i have electrical surges running through my teeth and the pain has remained consistent. After doing my very best to suck up the pain, i finally gave in and contacted Baypointe Dental to find out if there was anything at all that i could do to relieve this pain. i was told that they would contact the Dr and he would call me right away. Do you think Dr Kachorek could have had the decency to get back with me? No, nothing... especially after i dished out $400.00 to have my teeth whitened? Needless to say i will never step foot back into that office. He has lost me and the rest of my family and friends who i have reffered to him as patients. If you're looking for a dentist who has your best interest and comfort in mind then I'd say Baypointe Dental is most definitely not the office you are looking for.

I was just told the above was included in the membership. I received a cleaning on January 14, 2019 and upon leaving was thoroughly surprised I owed an additional $135. Being caught so off-guard I used a credit card not knowing how I was going to pay that. I left. The 2nd visit had to be used within the year. I called in November 2019 to schedule appt and asked why the $135. Oh, I knew, everything was explained to me and was passed from the receptionist, Brittany to the hygienist to Laurie the office manager. It's an extra periodontal fee and I knew. No. Not true. I was so frustrated at being passed around I hung up. I researched for info. I called December, 2019 politely asking what the $135 covered. Brittany didn't skip a beat at yelling at me and she hung up on me. I certainly wasn't going back after that. I was at my periodontist in January 2020 who didn't like the situation. Called Dr. Kachorek while I was there and said he had no problem refunding the money. Periodontist asked me in June 2020 if I had heard from Kachorek. No, I hadn't. It was suggested that I call Laurie, office manager. Didn't have a good feeling but finally called 10-29-2020. Brittany took a message and didn't receive a return call. I called 11-5 and 11-11-2020 being told she wasn't in. Felt she was never going to be in or return call for me. My son had his cleaning appt 1-26-2021. He asked Dr Kachorek about the situation. Said he knew nothing, talk to Laurie. He went to front desk and my quiet, polite son the entire time without skipping a beat was being yelled at by Laurie. He never got an answer to the $135 question because Laurie was yelling and bouncing everywhere but. My son has seizures and came out shaking for the next 30 minutes after he smiled and said have a good night when leaving. Needless to say, they lost a second patient. I check things out. If I had been given additional info regarding the membership, I would have checked it out before I joined. In checking it out now, Dr Kachorek charges $59 more for a periodontal cleaning. I would have paid that and should have been told up front. So I am requesting the $128 back from the membership for the 2nd cleaning I did not receive plus $76 that I paid over the difference of the Perio and regular cleaning. They want to say I knew, I know I'm a perio patient. I know the deal. Well rules have changed in the last 20 yrs and no I did not know what they claim I did. While my son was being yelled at, Dr Kachorek had passed by the lobby a few times ignoring everything. That office is so unprofessional. My Perio Dentist called Baypoint twice February 2021 and is being told no refund.

F T R = First To Review & I Also Added This New Dental…read moreBusiness May 12, 2025 - Monday Review #516 "SMILE - There are 2 New Dentists In Macomb - R W Ruffino & K Whitford !" I checked out this new location and dental practice since my previous dentist is retiring later this year. What a wonderful referral with Dr. Frank Ruffino and also Dr. Krystin Whitford who are so professional in the many full range dental services and their personalities are amazing! They both credit continuing education in cutting-edge technology with dental service from routine care and teeth whitening to implants, root canals, and sleep apnea treatment. (So no more back and forth with a oral surgeon) The advance care technology includes digital, and full mouth panoramic X-rays, 3D Imaging, and same day crowns under high quality care and well being. I first visited Janet on May 1, 2025 for My 6 month check-up and teeth cleaning. Since I previously had an issue with a loose 20 year old porcelain crown she verified with insurance that I needed X-rays. The X-rays did show a crack in it plus the 30 year old white gold crown next to it on top left side was showing signs of decay since years ago in the 80's ? there was never a root canal done before the crown therefore two areas needed attention asap! Thank goodness for her efficiency and alertness while performing a full mouth exam on Me as a New Patient. She also used a new cleaning treatment called Sonicare. Then scanned the gumline and bone areas of density in My jaw and tooth roots. :-) After cleaning I met Dr. Frank Ruffino and we discussed the urgent needed 2 - 3 hour appointment to perform one root canal and new crown and replace an old cracked crown with white porcelain too. No BOGO here but thank goodness for good dental insurance and also My Care Credit Card that this dental practice accepts. Put My Money where My Mouth Is ! $$$ Upon Returning, Dr. Ruffino, assistants Brooke and Stephanie helped Me stay calm, relaxed and explained each step and procedure throughout the dental appointment. I received a large novacaine shot to the top left side. The high speed drill was painless plus short breaks in between the Removal of two crowns and cleaning out areas. I was given a nice 30 minute break while the CEREC 3D- Machine created the two crowns based the laser scanning machine used to measure and create them. The laser root canal machine was high tech and fast to remove the roots from the old white gold crown. It was comforting NOT to experience the 1980's old fashion way of a root canal with the drill, dig to pull and painful procedure. Thanks to high-quality care again here with dentist Dr. Ruffino. The process of fitting. measurement of bite was perfect with a tad of a high spot but naturally it can be normal for both crowns side by side. It took 3 days for my mouth to stabilize so the 1st weekend of May was soft foods. I can no longer eat or chew on sticky and hard foods or candies which is nbd. I was put on a steroid and anti-biotic for 7 days as a precaution based on the small infection before my cleaning appointment that I didn't realize I had starting up before the cracked smal andl old porcelain crown. I visited today as a follow-up and both white porcelain crowns are fitted well and adjustment is wonderful plus a another continued great SMILE ! I praise Dr. Ruffino and Dr. Whitford for their dental guidance, support, comfortable office, along with teamwork from staff at front desk to the assistants and the preventive dental care I received. I look forward to being positive and less nervous too at My future visits as well to keep My teeth stronger and for longer! New Office is Located At: 16792 21 Mile Road Macomb, MI. 48044 Phone: (586) 263-1200 www.ruffinodds.com He is accepting NEW patients with Free Sonicare as I had done.
