A couple of weeks after my house was on the market, I was happy to receive an offer from a couple…read more As per standard practice, 3% of the agreed price was wired by the buyers to the title company handling the escrow. The buyers then proceeded to do their due diligence with various inspections, etc. Once the buyers were totally satisfied, they then removed all contingencies. I thought the rest of the process would be straightforward as we counted down towards the mutually agreed close-of-escrow date. But it turned out that the buyers' lending bank, which had earlier preapproved the buyers, decided at the last minute to back out, so the escrow fell through. I then had to go through the process of putting my house on the market again. Two months after that failed escrow, I received a letter from an attorney representing the unsuccessful buyers who argued that these buyers should get all their initial Ernest Money Deposit (EMD) back (this EMD was still being held by the title company). It was then that I contacted Cary Kletter's office to see if they would represent me in dealing with the buyers' attorney. Upon learning the key facts of this aborted escrow, Cary believed that I had a good case and agreed to represent me. So Cary wrote a very firm letter to the buyers' attorney. By first reminding the buyers the salient facts of this case, and why the escrow failed, Cary easily dismissed any basis the buyers might have for laying claim to the EMD. Nonetheless, Cary offered the buyers a small percentage of the EMD to settle the matter; the alternative being to go to mediation. Cary made it very clear to the buyers that should they lose in mediation, they would be responsible for all associated costs, including attorney fees. Thus with this one well-articulated and forceful letter, Cary was able to gain the upper hand in the negotiation that followed. This negotiation in fact went on for two more rounds. With each round, the buyers' attorney showed that they were willing to take a smaller and smaller percentage of the EMD. With the buyers evidently in retreat, Cary then issued a very strong 'take-it-or-go-mediation' final offer. The buyers' had little choice but to accede. Even though I did not get all the EMD and was quite sure that I would win in mediation, I was very happy with the final settlement. I was most relieved that we managed to avoid all the time and hassle of the mediation process. So I have to say Cary really knows his stuff when it comes to such negotiations! I was very impressed by Cary's negotiating style and tactics, and I am most grateful that he represented me.

I then tried to call but no one picked up. Obviously, there's a cost for using their service but maybe providing a little context for how they are going to help me besides just saying it'll cost $800 would be advisable. Needless to say, I decided to go with someone else.

From our first conversation, it was obvious she was the right choice and someone I definitely wanted in my corner. I'm very happy to report that we recently crossed the finish line and resolved the matter successfully. Talking with Irene is like consulting a friendly encyclopedia, she has an incredible wealth of knowledge at her fingertips. She walked me through every step of the process, always clearly explaining our legal strategy and all available options in a way that gave me confidence that my interests were protected. Irene's paralegal, Bryce, was great, too. He was always very quick to respond and made document management, signatures, and everything in between easy for me. I'm very thankful that Irene and Bryce were able to resolve what was the biggest headache I've ever had as a homeowner!

Ooh boy that was a big big mistake. He is the worst lawyer I have seen in my life. We followed his advice and guidance and pay him during the law suit and we end up loosing the house. Worst lawyer ever. His advice are bad, preparation is bad, he is afraid to talk and negotiate. Ooh my god my ex mother in law got evicted on the street now. I really hope he won't hurt anybody else. I always felt like Abbie had our backs, providing guidance throughout the whole process and negotiating with the sellers to get us a deal we were comfortable with. We've dealt with other agents in the past and Abbie stands out as being very business-oriented and professional. It also helped that she was a lawyer and was able to answer all our questions with the mountain of paperwork involved. I felt very confident that Abbie was handling our sale and purchase with the appropriate amount of attention to detail (that we don't have). If we ever decide to sell our current house we will definitely use Abbie again.

Like many other people who have reviewed here, we used Mark and found him to be dishonest. Most of all, we also found our bill had increased dramatically without explanation and he refused to explain, discuss or provide details. There is a lot more that I will not go into here but I can stand behind a one star rating as the very least in what I feel is the poor review he deserves. They gave 5-stars to their BOSS (Ali Yousefie). So they did on other feedback and reviewing platforms. His hired cheap lawyers will work on your case, not Ali himself although incompetent himself. $$$ is the #1 and ONLY value for this law office. I had to see it for myself being deceived. Cruelty and holding clients as hostages of their own case and for the attorney fee already paid. I paid TENs of THOUSANDS of dollars for almost nothing. I only won after I fired them and went to custody court myself. I also found how negligent and incompetent they were after I had to learn the applicable law and letigation myself.
