I've come here several times & I have had positive experiences, & I've had negative experiences…read more Just like with any business, I think that you can come 1 day and it be great and come another and have issues and I actually never had a negative issue with any of the staff. Problem is, about 6 months ago, I came looking to buy a firearm & I was next in line & and the guy in front of me had a rifle in his hand and was clearly intoxicated. I kept my mouth shut & then asked the staff about a particular gun, & the very intoxicated guy was saying how he could do this or that before I ever had a chance to get the gun out & I'm just like, yeah whatever dude. And I'm not sure if he's the owner or manager but he was sitting behind the counter as this was going on, & I just felt like maybe he just didn't want to say anything to the guy & I just personally feel alcohol and firearms don't mix. It sucks that Google only allows you to make 1 review, because again I may rate a restaurant highly 1 day, but my next visit could suck. Well I ended up walking out purely because of this customer. I left a negative review, purely because of this customer. The staff had never been anything but friendly to me, & that day was no different, but again, I had a negative experience because of that customer & just don't feel it's safe to have an intoxicated customer dealing with firearms. And I made that very clear in my post. Well a few days ago I go in there, and everything is fine, the staff was polite but then the manager walked by and said "what's up man" And I said hi. And he said "what's your name?" And I told him. And like a little child he said "you're the motherfucker that left 1 star talking about intoxicated customers & that you had a better experience that day at Superior Pawn. Why don't you carry your ass to Superior" I tried to explain myself, as I didn't think he was actually kicking me out but just upset about a review, and he walked over and said "get the fuck out of my store" Now I should have walked out but I was literally trying to explain things and he said you know what, "here let me help you get out" And he put his hands on me, and shoved me to towards the door" And I said what are you doing, you are literally going to assault me, I know where you work, and before I could finish my sentence that I know where you work & could have the police up here " he said oh you know where I live. I will fucking kill you." I turned around & just went to leave and he ran at me and went to hit me from behind and the whole staff was screaming at him and grabbed him. A nice guy walked me to the door, and apologized for what happened. I'm going to let the situation go, but it's just absolutely insane and bad, bad, bad business. To put your hands on a customer because of a negative review when I literally even mentioned it had nothing to do with the staff but a customer, and to act that way. Absolutely insane to me. Never experienced anything like it in my life. I think the staff is very friendly, at least the ones I've interacted with and I thought the same about this guy as well until this happened. I just think it's crazy unprofessional, obviously illegal, and if they don't delete the camera footage, it would entirely back up what I'm saying, but I'm letting the situation go, and just moving on but to say it bothered me, would be an understatement. He's probably actually a really cool guy and maybe was just having a bad day, but if you are going to let a review of 1 bad experience push you to act that way, then customer service certainly isn't for you.

Before I start this review I would like to say that my response is based solely upon my personal…read moreexperiences and my personal experiences alone, so with that being said let's begin!. My wife and I have been talking about firearms for a minute now but we never acted on it. Well enough procrastinating, we made plans to go yesterday afternoon to acquire about some firearms!. We walked in and right away we were greeted by a stone associate. I apologize for not getting his name because he was very detailed in all his explanations about our questions about the different firearms. We have both had our concealed carry license for years but never decided to pursue any firearms until now!. It was an easy transition to obtain a concealed carry license. All you have to do is take a gun safety class which consists of the basic knowledge of handling, owning and the gun range firing portion of it. Once you complete that you receive a certificate in which you take to your local city hall and apply for a concealed carry license. After you pay a $50 application and a somewhat brief background check and everything comes back clean, you will receive your license in the mail... Smooth transition!. I remember being born in NYC and trying to obtain a firearm license was impossible. I am sure there has been some change but to carry a weapon LEGALLY in NYC is almost impossible and I know I CANNOT bring firearms there under no circumstance. So knowing the laws in each and everything state are critical in owning firearms. But here in the Virginia and most other southern states the gun laws and carry licenses are a lot easier to obtain as opposed to the northern states. Well back to the review. I was able to purchase two firearms for my wife and I. Once we did a background check and everything came back clear and accompanied by some paperwork I was able to make the purchases. I have checked other prices of local shops and online gun dealers and I would say that the prices are pretty reasonable to me!. Another smooth transition process. I will be back to purchase more firearms as the need consists!. I appreciate you taking time out to read my review!. I would also like to add to the people who are against firearms. I purchased weapons for my wife and I for personal safety and protection and home defense purposes!. It is our right to carry firearms and our responsibility to protect and defend ourselves against the threat of violence!. I hope I never have to use my weapons but if it means defending my family and myself. Trust and believe I will not hesitate to shoot!!..

I pawned by brand new shotgun and had to go through a second background test to retrieve it.read more

But... they desperately need some sound baffling in the individual ranges. I forgot my ear protectors, and though I purchased foam ear inserts from there, after the first shot, I knew I was in trouble. I've always shot outdoors before, so the level of sound level at an indoor range that does not have ANY sound baffling is beyond anything I've ever experienced. After the 2nd shot, I went to the desk and bought a good pair of sound protectors from them, but the damage to my hearing was done. Three doctor visits and several weeks later, I'm still suffering. Please Superior Guns, install some minimal sound baffling in your ranges. Installing sound foam panels on the walls or just hanging some blankets on the walls would go a long way towards absorbing the reflected sound so your guests won't damage their hearing. I would probably be a frequent customer if you would just do that.
