However, to be honestly, it really isn't all that great, though I should mention that not only is it accessible, but they have a subway which means that you don't have to cross the tracks. Mind you, these subways are prone to flooding, which is probably why a lot of them were removed, but at least its there.

However, like a lot of the stations in Adelaide this place doesn't really spur my imagination. Basically you simply catch trains here, and that is about it. Sure, they do have some shelters, and a time table, but that is also basically about it as well. Oh, and it is one of those split stations too, meaning that the platform that you catch the train to head in the other direction happens to be on the other side of the road, which probably isn't too much of an issue anyway.

However, this station is reasonably close to the beach, though it is still a bit of a hike, In a way, it is sort of like a suburban station, and if you want to go to the beach, it is probably best to just stay on the train and travel down to the next station. However, there are some places to visit down here.

Still, as with most stations in Adelaide, this one is as functional as possible, while being as cost-effective as possible, meaning that the restrooms aren't all that great, and there are no staff. Mind you, it is in the process of being demolished as they send the tracks under Oaklands Road.

As it's the end of the line, the trains pull in at both platforms and there is no signage on the bridge to tell you which platform you need to be on. The amount of times I've missed a train as I've walked down 1 set of stairs then backtracked under the bridge to read the info screens, only to find out I need to be on the other platform is annoying. Hopefully they fix this soon. Oh and be prepared for the trains to always be late and if you are travelling at peak times they will be full by the 3rd stop.

Seaford Railway Station is a modern railway station that lacks some important key design features…read more Even though it marks the end of what was once the Noarlunga line prior to the extension, there are still two tracks leading into this terminus. This unfortunately leads to confusion as the trains pull in to either platform. Unfortunately, there is no clear organization as to where the train will pull in and most of the time you have to rely on the scarce information monitors or on a mobile app. The station is clean and the new electric trains are quiet impressive. At night, the station is well lit and there is ample seating room on either platform. There are basic facilities at the station but nothing spectacular. The artwork and structural design, whilst modern, still lacks some of the beauty that other railway stations such as the Oaklands Interchange has. It is however much more polished and smoother than the old Noarlunga terminus, however the Cafe and ticketing facilities at the Noarlunga Centre station are better. Seaford has a good railway station however it still lacks a clear and logic layout. Maybe when the line is extended (if it is extended), then the relative location of each train at the platform would make more sense, but at the moment, I am yet to identify the pattern.

I guess it was because a lot of them were built after they stopped building delightful stations, and simply went for form and function. Even then, the shelters are pretty small, so you don't want to be waiting here when it rains, and while it isn't as bad as some places, it still does rain in Adelaide. Yeah, there isn't much to this station, unless you happen to live in the area.

We were so excited to go on our first Ghan train trip -- which departed Adelaide from the Parklands…read moreterminal at noon that day. First the check in was pretty painless. We drove up to the front behind one other car and the staff helped With our bags. Then went into the terminal and went to the Gold line. Only one person in front of us checking in. Checkin was done within 8 min or so. The folks had the terminal all fixed up with mimosas, coffee and tea, cookies a few sweets and live music. There was plenty of seating for waiting passengers and a small gift shop with Ghan items such as tea towels, t shirts, wallets, magnets and more. The train pulled up about 30 min before we got on. The steward assigned to our car greeted us and helped us put our carry on luggage in our sleeper car. I love that they had the welcome aboard mural so u can take a picture with the train before you get on. It has some beautiful colors in it. All-in-all it was a well designed and comfortable terminal to wait to board the train. Good job!

Large modern train station with a tracks and frequent service until midnight. Clean stocked…read morerestrooms and lots of benches to sit and wait. Schedules were posted in front end on the tracks. There were donut, sandwich and fast food shops. For $11.20 we purchased a day pass and could ride as many trains in a day as we wanted. Trains were clean, stopped frequently & posted the next stop. There were cameras & security in each train car.

We came from Outer Harbor…read more It was free to go to town in Adelaide but we had to pay $5.90 to go back to Outer Harbor from Adelaide Central Station. The train personnel were friendly on guiding us where to buy our tickets. We also bought thr metro card for the following day so we can tour the city again.
