Seven years ago Dr. Marino took a simple X-ray of my hip and told me I needed him replacement surgery. I went for a second opinion at Excel Orthopaedic Specialists in Woburn, MA. A doctor there was able to eliminate my hip pain with a simple, painless 30-minute procedure to give me a cortisone shot in my hip. People, you need to get second opinions and go with someone other than Dr. Marino. read more

Rating: 00000 This medical office should be ashamed of themselves. POOR SERVICE. This doctor wasted my time then Wanted to charge me for a copy of MY MEDICAL RECORDS. EVERY OTHER DOCTOR AND HOSPITAL provides this for FREE. THEY ARE MY RECORDS which were already PAID FOR~! Arrogant. Rude. Condescending. Doesn't listen. Doesn't care. I'm not sure what or who broke this guy... but they did a number on him. He has absolutely no care receptors.I would rather go see Dr Nick from The Simpsons rather than ever going to see Dr Marino ever again. He acted like my issues were not uncommon. EVERYBODY has back pain EVERYBODY. I am not a special snowflake? So I should just continue to be in pain for the rest of my life? But.....wait.....somehow my hx of cancer is brought to his attention AFTER my apt..... well now....that changes everything. You better get another MRI. Bye! Yeah.....not there I won't. And yes, I cried. And when the nurse asked me if I was OK... I was going to tell her what a jerk he was.... and he was very dismissive AND HAS ME PETRIFIED, but she interrupted me with her own answer as to why I was upset..... can't make this up. read more

Seen Dr Marino yesterday and had a great visit. I don't understand this existing reviews at all. Great doctor!

Run/hobble away from Dr. Marino! First mtg, entered room belligerently asking who patient was (my husband was with me)-he clearly hadn't looked at chart. He was dismissive toward me, my pain and injury. Left exam room saying he'd look at x-ray, returned 30 seconds later and condescendingly said I had bruised something-he didn't know what and said "its complicated with all the stuff in there". He said if I continued to have pain, to return "if you like going to dr offices". Pain persisted for month, turns out I had a fracture he failed to diagnose. Seriously. This man was rude, stand off-ish, talked over me and didn't listen to my concerns, DID I MENTION RUDE??? Also, it was a work related injury but when I told them this I stressed that there is NO COMP CASE. AT ALL. Might as well act as if it didn't happen at work at all (my only reason for telling them is because it explains me slipping in non-slip shoes ; motor oil) But they immediately started acting differently and seemed to be rushing me out (considering he spent less than three minutes in the room with me, not even half of which was spent looking at my ankle, when the ER doctor referring me stated she thought they may have missed something on the xray) .. So I called another ortho for a second opinion since I wouldn't even have considered that an appointment, come to find out they've had LOTS of "second opinions" come over from Dr. Marino. Apparently everyone else thinks the same way about him as I do. Didn't even ask for copies of my xrays. Complete waste of my time, and now I have to wait another week and a half to see an ortho that will actually LISTEN to me!!! That CARES about my injury!!! Minus 10! Rude, rude, rude ! No bedside manner. To do no harm... I called my doctor at the Nashua office for a cortisone shot. She was unavailable but they could squeeze me in with Dr. Marino. ( I had surgery 5 months ago for a cyst, still having pain). I told him that I was there for a cortisone shot and that I think I had him as a dr. before. I told him that the shot needed to be done on the left side (my left) as the tendon may burst ( that's what I was told by my dr. at last visit). He asked my why I was assuming that he was going to give me a cortisone shot, I told him Nashua sent me here for it. He replied that he knew nothing of that. I said I'm sorry no one communicated that to you, not my fault. He left the room, returned and stated that I had seen him in 2007 for an ankle injury. (I fell in a hole at work and fractured it in two places).He came back with a MAJOR attitude. I explained another Dr. at Concord Ortho. had found the second fracture in my ankle. I had it casted and have been fine only needing small work restrictions (5 days a week and not a lot of standing) He examined me, said there was no fluid and it will heal on its own, he didn't feel I needed a shot. He basically said that I was milking it and asked me if I was here on a lawsuit or workman's comp. I told him that my surgery should have been a WC claim but I never wanted to go through that again. He used some word and I asked him to define it. He told me history repeats itself. I told him I was not suing anyone and the only way I ever would is if I was not getting the proper treatment. I assured him that I was not faking then or now. I told Prince Charming Marino that an MRI wouldn't lie. He said MRIs find anything. any little thing, ( not exact words) I told him I had a before and after. The first one showed a cyst and NOTHING else. It was PERFECT! My new one shows swelling, tendonitis, small tear in meniscus, etc. If an MRI is not reliable why are we charged over a thousand dollars for them? I assured him that a person that was faking would not be asking for a cortisone shot for Christmas! I am desperate for a little relief. I'm sure it will heal in time but what do I do in the meantime? I guess suffer. I do not do pills or have ever asked for any as I could see if that was the case. He offered me some advise, I should stay away from doctors, I agreed with him. I told him that I have definitely been through enough.( Was that a threat?) He then called in a nurse and we went over some of this again. At this point I would not trust him to give me a shot. I left bawling and in pain. He said he would not charge me for the visit. With all the technology today, I will take ANY test to prove this is real. Even a polygraph. read more

I wouldn't even give him a one for a rating ! I saw this Dr as i was referred from a walk in for a broken finger that needed surgery as the bone broke away along with then ligaments and no thanks to they delay in treatment i had scarring of the tendons ! When i arrived i was turned off right away since the secretary never acknowleged me and asked when i needed to be seen ! Well i had't even been seen yet ! Yikes ! I spent 20 min painfully filling out paper work and when i was called into the room the Doctor never even looked it ! He proceeded to tell me there was not a fracture and just to buddy splint my finger i should be fine and asked me why i couldn't bend it and why was i holding it like it was special ! Really Doctor you tell me why i couldnt move it ! I left there in awe ! I went to a specialist that i should have gone to in the fist place ! I was scheuled for surgery within three days ! I have been told i will not regain full use or have a straight finger due to the scarring that occured probobly fom the dealy in surgery no thanks to this Doctor ! Oh and he never asked my history or any problems till he was almost out the door and that wasnt even an accurate history ! Do Not waste your time here and if you want proper treatment dont see this doctor ! read more
