After running into our former Chicago youth leader at Disneyland, he suggested that we give Eastside a shot. Eastside's values are to Pursue God, Build Community, and Unleash Compassion and you'll struggle to find a more genuine and compassionate group of Christians in any area of the country or world. They have a genuine heart for the broken hearted, the struggling, the addicted, and the unchurched/uncertain and anyone will find themselves at home here, even if you don't believe you are a Christian (in fact their unofficial motto is "this is for everyone"). There's a place for everyone to volunteer or serve here too, whether it's in Production, at the cafe, as a greeter or in the kids ministry, Kidside (which is always a highlight of my daughter's week!) I don't do mornings at all and can never get up for church lol The mass was pretty long. It started with worship music, then went into prayer, and followed with the message. Everyone was very friendly. I think my only concern was that the entire time we were there, we only went over 7 versus from the Bible. Majority of the time the message was please donate. Now, I understand that the church needs donations and stuff, but when the prayer turns into "let's pray for a million dollars" that doesn't really sit well with me. I get that the million dollars is for the church to expand and get the app going in different languages, etc. But did we really just pray for a million dollars? My partner and I found that to be really odd. But overall, I think the intention of this church is good. There's very nice people that run it and attend. We felt welcome by all. Lots of diversity at this church, which is nice. It would have been nice to have more Bible versus rather than so much "we need money" talk. I really hate to give a low review but I've never felt the need to walk out of service before…read moretoday. This was my 2nd time here and the first time I came I remember it was fine. It's a bit ways out from me but today they happened to have a guest speaker, the pastor who introduced him told us to go into this with an open heart and leave put our blue or red hats away as to not have a political point of view. And he mentioned this twice. So half way through the speaker talking I realized why, the speaker kept going on and on about how things were aligned for Trump to be chosen into office comparing it to Jehu a warrior king from Old Testament. He mentioned Hilary Clinton and Kamala Harris in another comparison. He also said "the left side is lost and too far gone but there also people on conservative side now lost" I have never been to service that talks like this. Maybe it was this 1 time or maybe this just isn't for me at all but I couldn't continue to hear him talk about political figures so I left. And I now probably will not visit here again. The worship was great and also the Pastor who introduced the speaker was great too.

His sermons are about real life, your day to day walk with Jesus, and the grace of God. He sprinkles in a lot of humor and he isn't scared to talk about taboo subjects, especially in our Hispanic culture where it is hidden or frowned upon. I always see how busy he is with so many projects but still humble with his congregation. I really love the church. When I first came to this church I was really broken over many bad situations in my life. Slowly I gave my control to God and just as slowly (maybe slower) because God is funny sometimes, but I got a second chance at life. Pastor Dante and all his staff are not pushovers and allow members to stand on their own feet. No one here is spoon fed but they are really interested in your walk with Jesus. There are no harsh words or condemnation coming down on you but things do get revealed to you through the word of God. Personally I appreciate Pastor Danny. He always says hi, he has kind words for me, asks me how I liked the service and truly cares. I see him interact with everyone and it's really nice to be surrounded by caring brothers and sisters here. His wife sings during worship at River and i really believe in her lifelong walk with Jesus, she is a good role model for any woman or christian alike. It is easy to see flaws or find issues with anything in life, Pastor Dante is ridiculed a lot online but if you are looking for a church - anyone is welcome here. Pastor Dante believes that our church is like a hospital for the soul, he says some members are on IVs, others are taking medicine and some are about to get downgraded to another unit.. We congregate here to recognize that Jesus has already healed us and we walk together until we are with him forever.

The pastor is an amazing speaker, but the Bible was never opened and he didn't quote any scripture. He spoke well but I felt very uneasy during the service. I love everyone who lead people closer to God but I dislike and can't agree with the way they run its service. It just wasn't for me. Ps They had a merch store and inside they had figurines of the pastor for sale.... like what???? I knew for sure this wasn't a house of God.

I went to church to pray and give thanks to God for the progress I've made in my personal goals and…read morethe recent success I've experienced. I had made an oath and felt genuinely called to go pray. When I arrived, Mass was already in progress, but I only intended to quietly join for a few minutes. As I walked in, an older woman at the front stopped me. I was wearing a hat, which I planned to remove once I sat down, but before I could do that, she told me I wasn't allowed to enter. I asked why, explaining that I just wanted to pray and be part of the service. She refused and told me I couldn't come in. Then, she went as far as to physically hit my hat and told me I was being disrespectful. I asked again if she was seriously denying me access to join the Mass and pray, and she said yes. She told me to go to the chapel instead if I wanted to pray. I've never experienced anything like this before especially in a place that's supposed to be open to anyone seeking God. It felt wrong to be turned away like that when all I wanted was to pray and express gratitude.

Pastor Ethan has always made my wife and I feel comfortable here and has always provided us with guidance when we asked for it. I don't have kids but it appears that they have a wonderful children's ministry that seems to work really well with families. They have service on Sunday mornings at 9 am and 1030 am. It is located at the brea civic center off of birch and Randolph and parking is at an underground structure. You don't have to be a Christian to feel welcome here and I feel like anyone can be accepted here. It is not the church where people will feel as if they are being judged. If anyone out there is looking for a small community to be a part of I believe this church would be a great place to start.

I found Elevation Church about 7 years ago while searching for a positive motivational quote, but instead I found something more spectacular. For some angelic reason, my mouse landed on this church and as I listen to Pastor Steven's preaching, I felt that the sermons were intentionally written just for me. Since that day listening to him preach became a daily devotion. Elevation Church is a wonderful family to belong to and despite the distance, you will feel the warmth, togetherness and love from everybody. I recently added Elevation Church, meeting the Pastors and staff to my bucket list and I hope it will happen very soon. Check it out and maybe something good is in store for you as well.
