A beautiful marina, Barcelona houses one of the biggest ports in the world. During my stay in Barcelona I was fortunate to have the most agreeable weather for touring, sightseeing, strolling. I'm talking 65 degrees. I'm talking locals wearing shorts and Ray Bans.,Thus, I managed to catch some rays in this beautiful waterfront. It's also a nice place to pack a picnic and sit at the dock of the bay. This is also where you book sunset cruises, sailing trips, etc. There is a tourist info booth where you can book and get info on the Las Glorianas cruises.
In the midst of all are very important landmarks: Columbus Monument, World Trade Center, Maritime Museum and some cool art courtesy of Pop Art genius Lichtenstein.
Next to the Marina are very cool fish restaurants, gelaterias and shopping.
It is easily accessible by walking: its at the end of my other fave, La Rambla or Metro.
Highly recommend! read more
