I have never left a negative review before, but this interaction was unbelievably rude and unprofessional. When I called for help locating the office, she immediately became condescending and told me, "Despite Google Maps, I don't live at my office," and, "I leave drive thru sessions to McDonald's." I ended the call, and she then called me six times and left a voicemail insulting my manners and lecturing me for hanging up. This happened simply because I attempted to visit a business that Google Maps showed as open. The repeated calls afterward were completely inappropriate. I would not recommend contacting this business. The dialogue from her voicemail: "Hi, this is Mariel, and I sincerely I'm here to help. I hope you weren't the person that was so rude as to hang up on me when I don't do walking readings. You can simply say you're not interested. Um, Hopefully your parents taught you some manners. I would give a -0 review but unable to do that. I had the strangest interaction with this person. I called on a Saturday, because I was in the area, and left a voicemail asking if she had time to see me. I heard nothing back and wasn't surprised or disappointed. I could see her after I made an appointment..but then, the next day and on to Monday, I received phone calls and voicemails chastising me for not giving her notice. I agreed with that and apologized. Then she left me another rant and told me I owed her $20.00 for the the time I kept her waiting..WHAT? I didn't talk to her, only the messages. We've never met. I never had an appointment with her. This review is long overdue. I first turned to Mariel at the end of 2018 & I was blown away by her insight & guidance. She was able to tell me a lot of facts about myself, the people around me & guide me on my path to sorting out some issues I was going through. I turned to her again in November 2019 there were some really strange things going on in our new home. At the point where my skeptic fiance was noticing the goings-on & mentioning them, freaked me out & went to Mariel again. Again her guidance was spot-on. Towards the end of our reading, before I could even mention it, she asked if I was aware of a particularly bizarre situation in my home. I was. Mrs. Mariel Martin is a true gift to us. I visited her two years ago when I was applying for dental schools and I just started my new business. Although I felt very confident in my credentials Mrs. Mariel said that I will not make it that year, and If I applied again with the same qualifications i will still be rejected. I am a big fan of Mariel. I have known her for almost 10 years. I used to visit her for insight back when I lived in Portland in my early-mid 20's. I then went on to live in other states and got busy with life and lost touch a little bit. I met with Mariel for a half hour session. When I first met her, i felt that she had a warmth to her eyes and a certain kind of strong, wise woman vibe to her. Her office had a very peaceful, calm quality to it. After some introductions, we dove right in. She described my aura to me. She told me of an angel she perceived that was hanging out next to me. She examined the lines in my hands, and made several observations that definitely resonated with me. We also just talked about my life, about my choices I have with what classes to take in school and possible travel destinations. I think Mariel is a great counselor. Mariel Martin is a gifted psychic, palm reader and healer. I went to Mariel in 2005 when I had severe stress that was causing a hardening of my neck and body and was extremely debilitating.
