This is what $175 gets you from The Lawn Johns LLC. I wouldn't have posted this if they hadn't told…read moreme they were done and left the gate open. If I hadn't checked behind them and simply let my dogs out, they could have been run over in the street! That's not going over the line. As you can see from the photos, they didn't edge the concrete or asphalt well, even though they assured us they would take care of it. In some of the pictures, you can see where they edged a little bit or just stooped when there was an ant hill in the way. They didn't do a good job of cleaning up, and even completely skipped the area between the shed and the fence, even though we specifically asked for that area to be included. We have raised beds that are a foot off the ground, and they were able to put grass trimmings in all of them somehow. When I brought this up, they argued with me that it wasn't a big deal and that they would just use the blower to get the trimmings out. I'm glad I stopped them before they destroyed my plants. We spent nearly $500 on those flower beds to attract butterflies, and they think it'll be ok to take a commercial blower to them, and arguing with me when I say that I think that will damage the plants because 'they do it all the time." They don't have pride in their work, and they aren't worth the money. Find someone else if you want a decent job done without being gas light. No problems. And the weed whacking and mowing is good. The price to clean up branches, etc, before they started regular service was pretty high. But overall...I've been happy. One complaint is that while I can pay online, I can't sign up for an autopay. I have to manually do it every month, which is annoying.

I chose option b because I'm frankly strapped for time. I put in a quote on Yelp and several businesses answered. I wound up choosing Tally Maids as they had availability January 2nd which is when I was trying to get everything done. That and they had great reviews. At any rate, Cornelius was very responsive and even recommended a carpet cleaning company for me as they do just about everything except that. I was happy with the service, and if I'm strapped for time, I'd hire them again. The house was left clean and I thought the price was reasonable.
