A gorgeously resplendent church in the late Baroque/Rococo style. I stumbled upon here during the Feast of the Ascension to drown myself in sorrow... a parishioner found me in one of the pews and tried to comfort me, even though we couldn't communicate very well with each other. As a mass started, I found myself overcome by the ostentatious beauty of this place. The music melded with the lofty vaults and ornate gilt, and I basked in the glory of being in the "City of Music," when I suddenly realized that the cantor, accompanied by Baroque organ in the choir loft, was singing... in English! It was "Love Me Tender" by Elvis Presley. Get the fuck out!!!
