However, we left the Mobile Pediatric Clinic practice today because Dr. Savells made a decision to over bill for an service we didn't consent to and then when brought to her attention to make it right, she refused to remove the service she billed that was not asked for, consented to OR in any clinical way related the reason for of visit. The service that was billed was also not "delivered". Dr. Savells saw my son for constipation. My son has had a history of ear infections, which had nothing to do with why we were there on that day. We have been seeing an ENT for pretty regularly to keep a watch on his ears. Dr. Savells decided to look in his ears just because. She decided in one ear, without my permission, to do a quick sweep because there was wax in the way of her view I guess? Not any where near what I would consider a procedure, was surely not consented to by me - a very small amount I could have cleared myself with a tissue or q-tip. From talking to a family member who is a Ped NP, they do this fairy regularly just as part of their practice and do not bill as a "procedure". She then finally proceeded to see my son for what we were there for. On her claim, she documented she performed an ear extraction procedure which cost the insurance company hundreds of dollars. When I questioned it, as well as the $$$ charge it triggered to my deductible she refused to remove it, saying it was justified. I told the practice we'd be leaving. I've spoken to physician, NP, PA friends about this experience and not only do they agree it's not appropriate they also don't think it should have been billed for, especially without discussion about the "procedure" and my consent. She could have done the right thing, but she chose not to. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone who truly doesn't have the means.

I absolutely loved Dr. Williams, she was very informative and knew what she was doing. The nurse who administered shots to my kid was fast and gentle as well. I overall will recommend this clinic to everybody around the area. Also my appointment time, I did not have to wait long. They took me in within 5 minutes and the checkup was fast and easy!

Never thought I would be saying this. Over 30 years of being a patient here and I have never…read moreexperience nothing like this. On Sunday 9/3/2023 my son got ill. My son had glossy eyes, he couldn't stay woke and as a first time momma I was very concerned. I called the doctor's office because I was out near them to let them know the situation. Of course I was panicking and upset. I advised the office staff what was going on and that I was near them. The office staff did not seem concerned. They told me that they would have the nurse to call me back whenever. I called back hoping to get someone else, same response. I advised that I feel safe to come there to just let a nurse or someone lay eyes on my son due to we were close and my son needed help. When I got there, I was very calm and the staff advised that the nurse will be with me that I can wait. I was yes mam and kindly waited on the nurse. I was not rude or belligerent. Matter of fact the front staff was smiling and talking to me. When the nurse came out, she automatically said oh your son has a stomach bug because that it what was going around. She said that he can see the doctor if he would like but she is just going to tell you the same thing. That means she gave me an option to see the doctor. Not one time she said go to the ER in which I was trying to avoid at all cost because of covid. My response to her was I am not trying to question you, however if I could, I would love to get him checked out to make sure that is what was going on with my son. She said that it was my choice. I then advised my husband that I would love to have him checked because if anything happens to him at home I will not be happy. I believe any parent would understand that. So they signed us in and advised that there was a balance that I needed to pay before them seeing my son. I advised them that I will be willing to pay and gave them $60 leaving a small remaining balance. I was desperate to make sure my son was ok. Taking my bill money to pay in an emergency situation. So we waited liked they asked us too. Now mind you, they said it was going to be a long wait, however, we got back fairly quickly. On the way back, the nurse admitted and said he does look like he not feeling well. Dr. Todd came in the room. Mind you her beside manners were horrible. She took a look at my son briefly and with a snotty attitude said mom I would like talk to you about the practice. She told me that I was disrespectful to come into the practice. I was flabbergasted. I remain calm and advised that I have been with this practice for over 30 years and I was never disrespectful. I tried to explain to her that I was in need of help due to how my son was acting and my location. Dr. Todd would not even let me complete my statement to get an understanding. I tried to advise her that it was never my intent and she stated "Well how would you like someone coming up to your job." I was really upset at this point but I remained calm. She has no idea what I do and what I would do. Secondly, this is my son's doctor office in whom I trusted with his care. At this point, she forgot all about my son, he was crying on the table because of how he was feeling. So respectfully, I said mam, I am just trying to get my son taken care of. So be told the nurse to give him zofran and some other medicine. I dont know how they gave it to him, but he started vomiting quite badly. He vomited over my husband's shoe, floor, and etc. At this point I was desperately trying to to clean up mess and hurry up and get my son out of there. I felt like we were such a burden to them and my son's throwing up made it worse. On the way out I asked was she going to document what happened and she told me yes. Well on Tuesday 9/5/2023 (after labor day) I called and asked to speak with his doctor. The office manager I think her name is Joann came on the phone and said I was just about to call you. She said that the nurse said I was rude and call her unprofessional (never happened). So they lied on my son's chart. She told me that Dr. Little told her if I was not happy with them to let me go. I expressed to her that my son loves Dr. Little and that was not the case. I tried explaining to her that I was never rude and that it was quite the opposite. She said do you remember me? We talk about insurance before. It was almost like she had a personal vendetta against me. I was not comfortable at all. She advised that she was going to talk to Dr. Todd and Dr. Little and give me a call back. Well in between that time, my son took ill again. He didnt go to school and my husband said we had to get him back to the doctor. Well due to the office manager's actions and the nurse lying, my son could not be seen. Mind you, I am still waiting on Dr. Little to at least call me, he fail to do so. I call back crying and advised that my son is sick and she advised that the nurse was going to call me back. As the primary care Dr they are the only ones who can put the referral in. I disagreed with this statement and it finally came out it's because it was diagnosed in urgent care and they "don't trust urgent cares". How can you not trust other Doctors and radiologists and want me to use up resources in the emergency room Instead? Then to tell me tricare won't pay for it if they do? I know that my child had broken a bone before and we went to urgent care and then called our primary in GA and they put a referral in immediately. Instead wanting me to come in for another appointment with them to go to another facility to get an X-ray (because they don't have X-ray services) then get a referral. I refused as that would bill my insurance twice for the same thing and cause delays in care for my child with a broken bone. The pediatrician put the referral in (reluctantly), But they coded it as routine for ankle swelling and pain. Not as urgent and that there is a fracture. Then called me the next day while I was talking to the insurance company about 30 min after they submitted the referral to let me know it wasn't approved yet. (Pettiness has no place in a pediatric office)
