After 21 years with this agency I think I can confidently say - if you want an agent that advocates…read morefor you and provides great service, look elsewhere. We had no issues when the agency was initially owned by Dennis Park. When Ms Miller took over, we got no email or letter letting us know about the change. I just noticed the agent name changed on our statements and I started getting a lot of unsolicited emails from Ms Miller. Then mistakes started happening, like we called to add a new car. After a month with no updated statement reflecting the change, we called to check, only to find they never added the car. Thank goodness we had no claims during that period. You can bet they back dated the bill though. This happened again this year when I added a car, I had to follow up again. Then they added the wrong driver to the car. But by far the worst was the lack of help and support we got this year regarding a homeowners claim for our storm damaged roof. We struggled with Allstate's process for 4 months. During that period I responded to two emails from Ms Miller asking how our claim was going. "Horrible" was the response I sent each time. Zero response from Ms Miller each time. I called into the office to make auto policy changes. The individuals I spoke to each recommended some additional changes. I stated I wanted to get through my open homeowners claim before doing any further business with them, that in fact if things did not improve I would be looking into other companies. "Okay" was the response I got each time. Not "I'm sorry to hear that", or "how can we help?" Finally when I felt I'd exhausted my recourse through Allstate claims adjusters, I sent Ms Miller a direct email asking for assistance and for her to call me. She did call, and reviewed the claims process with me, and then acknowledged I'd been through everything she knew to do. She said she would check into other options and call me back. She did this and called me the following day letting me know I could go through the appraisal process. This was good news. I did as instructed, got the name of an inspector I wanted to use, submitted a request in writing, only to be told my claim was not eligible for the appraisal process?! I would have asked Ms Miller why she told me I could go through this recourse if she had ever bothered to check in with me again. In my experience, Ms Miller has "good hands", good for taking your money. I ended up shopping other companies and every quote I got was cheaper than Allstate. I kept the coverage and deductibles as like for like as I could, and ended up with a company that will save me $3800 a year. That is how they repay your customer loyalty, by raising your rates at each renewal and not paying claims. My advice, find an independent agent with good reviews. Many credit unions have a service that will quote many companies and find you the best rates. Do your research, check out JD Powers, talk to contractors and home inspectors (I talked to 4 and each told me unsolicited Allstate is the worst at paying homeowners claims), and shop every few years because they see customer loyalty as an opportunity to increase your rates and nothing more.

Also, I saved close to 800 dollars switching from Geico. I am very please with the GOOD HAND people and will be a long time customer for sure. Choe Family
