There were a couple of little glitches that we worked through. I'm very picky although I can say that I was very impressed with their workmanship and install to a point. Make sure you do your homework and ask lots of questions. They broke the vanity drawer support, then haphazardly tried to fix it with silicone. They didn't tell me they broke it. I found out when I was reinstalling the drawers. They stated in an email that they were sorry and tried to justifying it, and didn't offer to fix it. When they sent me the final bill, I deducted the repair amount, which they did not like and sent the bill back with the full amount. Also, the sink cut out was wrong, even though the correct size was on the contract. They wanted to reduce the price if I kept the wrong cut out, which I stated no I wanted the correct cut out. They stated they would remove and install the new counter same day and old counter would go in the dumpster, not a good carbon footprint. My thoughts were instead of wasting material they can use the counter with the wrong cut out and make a waterfall for the new counter and do a few other cuts for me also, me thinking outside of the box instead of the material going into the dumpster They also decided to charge me a $500 trip for taking out the old counter and coming back at a later date to reinstall the new counter. Yes, I added a waterfall and a a few other pieces which I had no problem paying for although I was not going to pay the $500.trip amount. This would not have been an issue if they would've made the cut out correctly the first time.

When contacted about this this, True Colours Design Group SAID IT WAS THE CUSTOMER'S MISTAKE for not double checking information provided by True Colours' "professional" services. Detailed version: We hired True Colours Design Group to plan a kitchen redesign - using IKEA kitchen planning tools. True Colours was supposed to provide measurement details and help figure out the most functional kitchen design. After taking our money for this service, they provided a printout of plans and measurements, so we ordered cabinets from IKEA based on the provided measurements. Installation was delayed due to scheduling issues (when can we get the time off we need to strip the kitchen, etc) and health issues (one of us was dealing with medical issues that don't need to be outlined here). Everything remained in their boxes until then, and of course we had no reason to doubt measurements provided as part of a so-called professional design service from 'True Colours' On installation day, the professional installers came in and discovered the kitchen cabinets were too long to be practical (if installed, they would have been too close to the counter and stove). Because the installers were there and a reschedule would have left us without a kitchen for several weeks, we approved them cutting the cabinets down to size (at a cost). We contacted True Colours very shortly after, and their response all along has been to blame us - the customer - for not confirming the measurements were correct, and to question why we waited so long between the design and installation day. Their attitude when they make a mistake seems to be 'deny and deflect'. True Colours Design Group does NOT stand behind their work. I would NEVER hire them again, and I WOULD NOT recommend their services to anyone I know.

I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the whole showroom and the assistance I received while visiting the store to see what they have to offer. The customer service was top notch, something that isn't too common in most retail stores it seems like. I highly recommend visiting Fishtrap and seeing what they could offer you!
