My skin is acne-prone and it's taken a period of time to figure out how best to build a routine that works for my skin, but with Jane's help my skin is in a healthy maintenance phase! I started off with a acne/skin consultation with Jane and this facial consisted of a cleanse, exfoliation, facial steam, extractions, light therapy, and other services based on your skin's needs. I had a lot of acne/congestion in my skin so it definitely was a little raw after my first facial, but as I've been a regular, my skin has adapted to and heals much better after the service. Jane's extraction technique is amazing and she spends the time looking at every single pore on your face and extracting which reduces the amount of acne breakouts that I get in between sessions. Jane also gives really helpful advice on what your skin concerns are and provides recommendations (products/lifestyle changes) that can help target those skin conditions. The best advice I could give as someone who has spent time and energy trying to build a routine is to go at it slow (don't change your routine too often and give your skin the time it needs to adjust) and maintain your expectations especially if you have combination skin like me. Once I learned the owner was who I'm working with and had seen the day before for the consult, I was more than good but then they made up a story about having an emergency (not true) and cancelled my appt a few hrs before I was supposed to go in. Bummer. When I asked to reschedule they were acting off and told me their "system was down." (Not true again.) I suspected I made Sasha uncomfortable by the time I got to her initially after speaking to their call center that claimed they were the front desk but Sasha confirmed they were not. I'm from the east coast so admittedly my tone may have been a bit direct after she said I was meeting with the injector I met with previously. I told her I've never been injected by anyone there before. What she meant is it's with the same woman I met with during my previous consult the day before. Slight miscommunication. No big deal. After feeling off about what I was trying to get clarity on, around credentials of my injector since new to their business, I decided to text the apology below to preempt any possible misunderstanding. I then called after a couple hrs of not hearing back about the new date and they blocked my number which I only knew because it was a busy signal & who gets a busy signal in 2025? So odd. I then get a text below refusing to work with me. This whole experience is so unfortunate. I was actually excited about having the privilege of working with the owner and was going to move all my Botox appts over to them etc. The only thing that makes sense is they've worked with some difficult clients and for some reason I reminded them of someone who might have been a past nightmare client. Have never been treated like this in my life. I researched later, that a typical Facetite procedure time should be around 15-45 minutes. I do not know why he rushed, but I was left with 3rd degree burns and facial nerve trauma. 3rd degree burns, also called full-thickness burns, are the most severe type of all burn injuries. They destroy ALL LAYERS OF THE SKIN and can damage underlying tissues like fat, muscle and bone. When I went back to see Mike, he was very dismissive, and said I had thin skin. Obviously he was trying to cover his negligence. I ended up going to the University Medical Center Burn unit to treat the burns. It has been very traumatizing, and I do not want anyone else to go through this!
