Leads me to believe he is fraudulently billing and coding which is HIGHLY ILLEGAL! Puts patients on "involuntary holds" without evidence or proof of IMMEDIATE harm to oneself or others. When this didn't work, it was only at my request to be taken off the benzodiazepine. I was informed by him a rapid taper method that he developed was the safest way to come off the medication. He conducted a four day rapid taper that completely paralyzed me. After researching it was realized this was the worse, most inhumane way to take someone off a benzodiazepine. The failure to appropriately taper me off the medication has cost me over a year off my life, and put me through pure hell. If you are taking a benzodiazepine and looking for help please do not visit Dr. Sharpe. His lack of education or refusal to believe the consequences of being rapidly tapered can be extremely devastating.

My assumption was he couldn't afford a receptionist at the time since he handled all his appointments through his cell phone and didn't know how to use the patient software. also asking me to look at the software was Barton just casually violating all of those patients HIPPA rights but I digress), and all the while never asking "how are you feeling", "how is x you mentioned last session going", "how is y going","How's the medication working out". Literally nothing, it was so strange, like he actually resented being a psychiatrist. One time he started crying in session about his father. I felt bad for him, but you can't take people's money and then abuse them in session and cry about yourself, you're a doctor. Shame on you, Daniel. Shame on you for violating my trust in a physician when I was going through great turmoil in my life and shame on you for making my diagnoses worse than before I had come to you with your twisted brand of psychiatry. Overall I got bad vibes from them and so I'm leaving this review just to let them know that you lost a client before you even had them by being very bad at following up and very unclear and unforthright in your costs. Meanwhile other TMS and neurfeedback clinics in Nashville got back to me in 1 day. The only reason I tried to give this one a chance is because it was a closer drive, but it's just not worth it.

They left me without a provider while I was in a mental health crisis and needed immediate help. As a veteran with severe PTSD, this is completely unacceptable and it was hard to navigate. After finally getting answers and forwarding to NBI billing, I didn't hear back for 2 months. THEN they say I still owe the balance, and I need to rectify- again. After getting in touch with the VA, I've learned that the reason they dropped me as a patient is because they were frustrated that they could not LEGALLY charge veterans for services rendered. Absolutely awful experience, and I'm still getting threats for my balance to go to collections. Absolutely lazy and incompetent employees with the worst customer service!
