At 7:30 they played like 2 games and the first band didn't come on until after 8:00. The main band didn't come on until after 9:00! We came early to get food at Texas live but Geash I could have gotten food at 7:00 and not been worried about getting in for the band to start at 7:00. instead we got food at 5:00. To come in at 6:00 to find a good place to stand and watch the band but didn't hear a band for 2 hours.... How are w you going to start that late. The ticket lead me to believe the main event was at 7:00 not after 9:00. And I'm angry bc I'm not drunk bc I can't afford yalls drinks Writing this review is the most entertainment I had in the first 4 hours waiting for the band. All in all it was fun. But get the timing right. It was one star but Giovanni and the Hired guns did such a good show I'll bump it up since it was worth the wait. But I'm still disappointed that nothing started on time.

There is over hang so if it is raining you can stay dry in most of the place. You have general admission which is the way to go you can get pretty close to the front. The very front is a reserved seating. On the second floor it cost more but if you do not get on the rail you cannot see anything. Do not get second floor unless you go early and get a rail seat. Or what we did is go downstairs to general admission. You have plenty of bars for drinks and beer 10 dollars for beer but it is a large beer. You can go into Live and other restaurants just make sure you get a wrist stamp. The sound is very good it is loud but fun you will have hearing loss one day like me. The first band we saw had a large video screen it was great. The second time no video screen not good. The only bad thing I saw was getting into the venue they have a very long line to go through metal detectors. This is dumb you can go all over the place inside Live, all the restaurants everywhere no body stops you or searches you. But to go into the Backyard you have to get searched. Parking is free at this time to the east of the place. Not free during Ranger games.

I went on a Friday and there was not much to do. No music...just trucks. I can't possibly eat food from all those trucks ok? please find other entertainment! the chairs for the table could be better. They were so flimsy, I thought my badonkadonk butt was going to fall off. How embarrassing would that be? yikes!

What's not to like?…read moreThere were about 35 trucks out at the ballpark and for a 10$ donation to the American Cancer Society you can check out the trucks (food was, of course, not included in the ticket fee) I was impressed with the variety of trucks... Lots of sweet trucks (whatsdascoop, cup cakin', short and sweet) and even more savory ones. There we plenty of tables and chairs, as well as the area inside the Ballpark for seating. All in all I look forward to this annual event to help cancer and get my truck grub on.

You come in and get to immediately drink and eat until your heart is content. Unlimited samples and I will be checking out a lot of these restaurants and businesses. There was no real need for some of the non-food/alcohol vendors, but they were nice. My favorite dish was the Vegan Boudin Balls from Le Rouge Cuisine Food Company. Very easily got my vote for best food. Best alcohol was the Blue Chair Rum that I will now stock my liquor cabinet with. Can't wait for next year.

WOW, WOW, WOW! A spectacular annual event this is. Three hours of pure fun along with ooos and…read moreaahs with the coming of the Christmas and Holiday spirit within us all there at Sammons Park! The electrifying performances from Rae Lynn and En Vogue this year made the whole crowd with our blinking Reliant Santa hats clapping and dancing! The anticipation grew with the countdown to the magnificent lighting of a million lights to the trees, followed by a jaw dropping fireworks display! Worth the wait were the long lines for photo opt with Santa, to be photographed in front of a brilliant star motif, and for a couple glasses of wine in hand! My gratitude to those who sponsored this FREE event for our great city. Loved it. See u next year! CHEERS!

The fireworks were spectacular…read more Went to this event a few years ago (I think they started in 2012), it was a little different. They lost the food trucks this year. Instead, they had concession booths this time around. Also, they lost the snow rink, which was real fun and replaced them with free Santa photo-op and kid's crafts activity. They also lost a great light show. They projected lights onto big buildings a couple years ago and made it a dynamic show. This year, they just projected a static logo onto the huge buildings. Having said all that, the main activities stayed the same, which was free give-aways of blinking twinkling Reliant santa hats, fireworks, and concert. I probably won't spend $17 for Lexus parking in the future. It's much easier to park elsewhere than going around trying to find Lexus parking.

It was held outdoors, not in the stadium itself, so be sure to bring the appropriate clothing for the weather. We were unprepared. We waited in our car in line for almost three ours to get to the starting point. Three hours! We were out of snack within 20 minutes and we hadn't had dinner yet so I was really about to lose it. Also we were almost on E. If you have a car you can deck out in Halloween go for it. Most ppl here had lights and music and even inflatables in their cars. That part was a little entertaining to see the passing cars how they go all out, I mean all out!! Okay now to what this is. This is basically a campsite park. And the people that are staying there decorate their sites. But this isn't just some twinkly lights and spider web, nooooooo. These people are creative. Some even come up to scare the people in the cars oh it is so fun. I love to see their individual styles come together in such a fun way. The drive through the displays doesn't take very long. Actually it's pretty quick. The majority of your time there will be in line waiting to get to the campsite areas. So gas up, take plenty of things to entertain your kids in the car.. take snacks maybe a meal. I'd take wipes bc there's mostly port- a potties . Once you get in, there is a restroom but I heard that's way more scary than the Halloween stuff.. yikes! The website did say not trailers with the hayride seats but I did see people loaded up in the beds of pickup trucks, the trailers with ppl on hay bales, even golf carts many golf carts.
