I went to open houses, met a few agents, and tried searching with Redfin (where they assigned me an agent), but I didn't feel like I had found the right agent until I started working with Josh. He has worked so much in this area that he has a great understanding of the market and what might be possible or harder to find in each neighborhood. He was always highly responsive to questions and worked hard on my behalf and shared things he noticed about homes during tours, which I found incredibly useful. When I put in an offer on the condo, he worked diligently to find out unknowns from the sellers. He also counseled me through negotiations extremely well by letting me come up with my numbers and justifications first and then working with me to adjust these based on the market and his experience, so that I actually ended up asking for (and receiving) more funds to renovate the space than I had anticipated. We have a 9 month old baby girl, and needed to get into a bigger space. Kevin was more than happy to work around both our hectic schedules to go look at properties. He went above and beyond while showing us properties to let us know of any red flags he might have noticed in the homes we were viewing. He wasn't trying to just get a quick sale. He genuinely cared about our well being and wanted to see us in a home we could grow in. The selling agent was a real piece of work apparently, and Kevin had to fight for us on many occasions.
