I received an email from Marc's Auto Parts as a result of a service I signed up at HuntforParts.com looking for a headlight for my vehicle. I was guaranteed to have someone reach me within 48hrs with my part. Well I sure did as the email read "DIEGO I HAVE THE HEADLIGHT CHEAP 570 760 0511 ASK FOR MARC". So I did, but to my surprise the price was higher than a brand new part from the dealer at $1200!!! I asked Marc if the part was new and he immediately became rude and defensive saying this is from a junk yard. I informed him dealer sells for $1180, so why would this be a good option. With the order(s) they get; they then used internet searches and then pressure actual salvage yards to send items direct to their customer(s). The draw back is the individual (Marc I assume) that phones is an absolute narcissist that demands special treatments, pricing and then subjects the sales people to a barrage of obscenities when told our facility doesn't sell to 3rd party brokers. I often feel like I'm on a prank-show when this guys calls because it's the same M.O.: gets told we're not selling to him, asks for a manager/owner, they too tell him we're not selling to him...and then multiple phone calls and obscenities. This guy allowed an unuseable, unrepairable ac condensor to be sent to me. A blind man could see this thing wouldn't work. Corrosion all over to the point the thing had holes packed with mud. I appreciate the fact that Marc was able to get me my part in a timely fashion and he gave me the correct part number because I've been to 11 part stores, contacted numberous junk yards and each one gave me a different part number and said it was no longer avaliable. Mark informed me the part number was changed about 20 years ago and he had my part. Here's what happened: I've been searching for over 3 weeks for a discontinued part which controls my electronic spark in my really old truck. I registered on a website and Marc called me at about 9:38 PM. I explained what part I needed. Marc talked to me a bit and said let me check. He clarified to me my part number was changed years ago therefore that's why I couldn't find it. He gave me the updated part number then he moved around a bit, said, "wait a minute a few times", then said, "I have it. I'm looking at the part right now. I'll have it to you by Monday". He described the circuitry, the shape and connectors. I paid the fee and it's Monday, 8/6/18 and I'm holding my part in my hand right now as promised. It's exactly what he described and exactly what I needed. I searched over 3 weeks everyday and all it took was one phone call from this guy. If Marc didn't take the time to help me I would have had to modify my entire electronic system and end up with heavens knows what under my hood and out tons of money for the modifications. Quoted me a price with "free shipping" which was visibly higher than other deals I had found online. Interrupted me to demand answers to a question I was in the middle of answering. In the end, he told me that I was wrong about having found a lower price and I had to "go do my research" and that "he worked down here and was just telling me". He ended up lowering his price by about $20 after I explained the lower pricing I had available to me, and then tried to get me to order the part immediately upon offering his "deal". When I told him I didn't want to order it until I found the best price, he said "good luck" and hung up. Would not do business here ever. Would just like to update that I found the part I needed for $30 with local pickup when he had quoted $125 and then dropped it to $97.
