There was a simply stunning quality of meat, fish and vegetables, in fact it's the simple and utterly refined taste of this meal that really sticks in my memory, and it's a very happy memory. We were aware that we were experiencing something really special, but there was a slightly bumpy start mainly due to language difficulties. Basically my German is not brilliant but I suspect theirs is worse! We misunderstood each other in both languages and the basically nice waitress seemed rather stressed about it all. The menu is not exceptionally easy to understand but we landed on the most expensive version of it, with a beautiful 2016 Gayda Viognier, which was by no means overpriced. In the end only the language embarrassment and the slightly basic seating took this from 5 to 4 stars, but if I was rating the food-and wine-it would be a 5 star+ review. Indeed I can't wait to go back! Note from the husband, he wasn't completely satisfied in terms of quantity, and got a burger back at the Hotel!!

Back in DS for a couple weeks visiting. One daughter wanted to come back to get a Yufka Kabob. 2 yufka, one portion of fries with garlic sauce and 2 portions Baklava. Very good Yufka, the fries with sauce were amazing but the Baklava was just okay. Overall food was 4 but service and memories kicked it up to a solid 5.

But I must say though that consistently Africa has been a home run every time. The food is so delicious and the prices and waiting time for food are very fair. The menu does leave a little bit to be desired as far as large variety is concerned, but it is always a great treat to go there. I can highly recommend 'Africa' especially if you like spicy and lively food. It's a must.

Wasn't rushed or disappointed about my entire experience. I was able to enjoy each delicious bite. I didn't have a reservation, but instead of waiting for a table for one, I was offered a seat at the bar. It was just me, so that was cool with me, and I was ready to eat. I ordered a 21 oz ribeye medium well and I got it medium well, cooked well on the outside, but pinkish and juicy on the inside. The options of sauces were pretty nice, but the steak itself was flavorful enough, not salty, that the various sauces weren't really needed. I will hit this place again, but I will make a reservation next time. The restaurant is a short walk away from the U-Ban (Neckar Park), so not having transportation wasn't an issue getting there.
