Organic Cherries (10 euros for a kilogram) - These were the best cherries that I have tried anywhere in the world. I couldn't believe how great they tasted! They were so sweet and juicy. In fact all the other berries looked so good here. I then took some of my goods and walked to a nearby park near the Eiffel tower and enjoyed eating them as I marveled at the beauty and splendor of the Eiffel tower. They also have one of the best rotisserie chicken places ive tried anywhere, its an Asian man who owns that booth and his rotisserie chicken and roasted potatoes are just amazing, a small chicken is only about 6 euro which is a bargain in Paris. My swan song from a disappointing trip in the bird department. Off the eye test, it doesn't get much better. The beautiful sight of tissi's rotating in front of a fire breathing oven, potatoes in the tray below collecting the chicken juices as they fell, had me ready to run around the Bastille plaza yelling "LE MOUVEMENT!!". I thought this was going to be my first high level bird in the City of Light. Much to my chagrin, the one I got was just lukewarm. I was ready for my fingerprints to be fully burned off. There was so much potential here, but as always, I have to judge what's in front of me. If I don't have my integrity I have nothing. It landed at an 8.1/10 on the restaurant scale which is good, but if it was hot it could have been up there with the greats in the rare 9 territory.
