I was directed to Fornaris Law Firm thru Bruce L. Scheiner's law firm, as I had worked for him…read morefamily in the past, when I was injured on the job. Workman's compensation is vastly different in Florida than in most states. The laws are pro business. I was very unsettled by the fact I never met or was in the offices locally of Fornaris, I didn't even get a business card. Even with COVID running rapid, there should've been a more personal connection. I also felt with a firm that has employed women and minorities, I would be represented better. I was always providing all possible paperwork when I had my appointments to treat my injury. I ended up having two surgeries and my issue hasn't fully been corrected. As far as the settlement, I was short changed, they didn't fully stand their ground for me. They stressed I was overweight, a woman and a minority are factors for the settlement. Not very encouraging. When I signed the paperwork, it was at the dimly lit offices in Ft. Myers of Bruce L. Scheiner. Talk about full circle. be sure to research any and all law firm before choosing one, especially in Florida and you are a woman of color.

Not the best first impression and the lack of reviews and presence online is equally as questionable. How can someone claim to be in a reputable business for so long yet when doing a basic online search you can not find a single positive review or response from prior clients? Everything is online these days, and quit frankly I find great distrust in seeing that not even a single client, who felt they were properly represented, wrote or rated something positive on the internet. When you hire someone to represent you in court, they should be understanding and welcoming - not rude and quick to end a simple inquiry about setting up a consultation for my legal needs.
