I just came back from my hair appointment and I had a great experience at Marca. Receptionist was nice and attentive. My hair stylist Olivia was profesional and she did a consultation on me and listened to how I wanted my hair styled and delivered. She gave me an amazing shampoo and scalp massage. I (male, 50s) needed a haircut and my go-to barber shops were booked for more than a week out, so I decided to try my luck at Marca, which I do every few years. Once again, I got a good cut - nearly identical to the photo I showed the student - for half the price and without having to wait a week. The key there seems to be to show pictures, explain carefully what I want, be prepared to interrupt and ask questions and to engage with the instructors. read more

Horrible service! Arrived at 1pm to get a wash, cut and style. Was told the students were on lunch and wouldn't be back for another 20 mins. Came back at 1:20pm. At this point, there were 4 other people waiting. The person organizing the students didn't start assigning clients until 1:40pm (20 mins later than quoted). At 1:50pm, half an hour after I had been told, I still hadn't been assigned to a student. I left. It is ridiculous that this is what they are teaching the students about client service. If they do this in the real world, they won't survive for one minute! Don't waste your time, or money. read more

Very disappointed in the fact the staff are not very nice (snobby) and not welcoming to Co-op students so don't send your child there because the staff are so stuck up they don't speak to them! read more

Deeply disappointed with our experience and the customer service here. My daughter was taken here for her first colour ever (fashion highlights in purple and blue, just a few at the sides), which should have been a wonderful lifelong memory. When she came home that day, her hair looked beautiful. Unfortunately, after 2 washings almost all the blue was gone and the purple was considerably faded. We returned to the salon thinking that something must have been wrong with the colour application and were told that fashion colours are temporary and there was nothing that could be done. We had not been told this in advance. Had we been told in advance that the colours were so temporary they may not last a week, we would not have spent so much money. Upon complaining about this, I was told that all hair is different and so one can't predict how long it will last. While I understand this, it seems to me that lasting only a few washings is ridiculous and unreasonable given that the experience cost almost double what was originally quoted and near to a full salon price for only a few foil highlights. Very disappointed with the customer service here. Even if a full refund couldn't be offered, at least a partial one or a coupon for a free cut or blow dry would have been something toward making a customer feel like the company cares. As a business owner myself, I know that it doesn't take much to make a disgruntled customer feel heard and understood. Going the extra mile to make something right matters if you want repeat business and referrals. We will never return here and will be sure to warn our friends and family as well.
