If you do not know where this place is already I assure you, you will miss it. Tucked between a rail yard and a junk yard the property looks like an abandoned vehicle lot/parking lot with an abandoned building in the back...that my friends is the promised land! You name it they have it (including horse...which I still just don't understand) from pork shoulder to beef short ribs to chorizo...and it is actually affordable (well Swiss affordable).

I saw they took credit card but didn't realize there was a minimum charge and couldn't understand what they said - then the server turned to the crowd and said something which they laughed at? but I was eventually able to pay and get my Sandwich which I enjoyed by a nearby canal. It would have been nice if the bread was toasted since I ordered it Hot and I didn't find it had too much flavor but it was still filling and nice to try. Store attached to it also had some nice local gifts and food for purchase.

After deboarding the train and walking through some cute shops…read morein downtown Annecy, emerging into the old town area with all the vibrant sounds, smells, sights, free tastes, variety and colors was such a delight. I tried some of the best salami I've ever had in my life and all the cheeses and everything was divine. I could not get over how much variety there was and I really wish I took more photos of the stand standouts but really the experience as a whole was one of my favorite memories of exploring this beautiful area. Would 100% recommend and return again!

I especially like their jambon persillé (ham and parsley aspic terrine), a regional dish that is ubiquitous in Burgundy, as well as their duck liver paté. They also have a selection of very tasty saucisson (dry cured sausage) that they will slice for you. Finally, in the mornings they offer freshly-roasted chickens, but be sure to get there early, because they go quick, and once they're out, they're out. I love the fresh fruits and veggies that you can get here. Often you will find items from local Prangins farms. Proximity Farming at it's best (if you are into Proximity agriculture :)). You can find a little bit of all the necessary essentials here. They also have local wine, cheese, and meats to select from.
