The "good stuff" was a little higher priced than what I would have liked to have seen for a small town shop. We got a little of 5 different cheeses and loved them all, especially the ghost pepper cheese. I got several New York Strip steaks. I have to say I was disappointed in the strip steak because of the large inedible part of on one of the steaks (the one on the bottom of the stack,) so I didn't notice until I opened the bag at home.

The meat here is in my eyes a good price, as well as the location is not right in town so I don't always need to run fully into town to get meats or certain things, they have spices, buns, pizzas, some veggies here and there and they generally run some specials or have some interesting but delicious combos of meet stuffed with cheese. It's a great store and the staff is super welcoming. The only issue I've ever faced when coming here is the inventory isn't consistent. Some times I come in looking for chicken and there's nothing but pork squashes and ribs and brisket. Sometimes I come in for a ham and there's nothing but chicken, so if I were you and if you have to stop in town for other ingredients I'd stop here first and make sure you can get the meat your looking for first. On more than one occasion I've had to completely change dinner plans souly because they just didn't have the meat out that I needed, maybe posting time or dates coolers are cycled trough would help? I'm not sure what do I know about that. But that's the worst of the issues I've had here so if that's all that happens. Hey no big deal. It's not an everyday thing but it sucks when it happens.

I heard about Meats by John & Wayne; wanting something more than a typical supermarket meat selection, I went there...and was pleased! The selection is quite impressive. While there is a small selection of seafood, what really shines here is all the sausages! There's Cajun sausage, bratwursts, snack sticks, breakfast links, potato sausage and more! There's plenty of pork options, chicken, duck, lamb and buffalo! The service is pretty good as there have two registers active when it is really busy and the amount of traffic I saw in the store convinced me it was a good choice for meats! This butcher shop is worth visiting.
