great place. I read these reviews and almost didnt go…read more for my daughters age-6. this was great. it was busy when we got there, but it wasnt a long wait to get in, they had some outisde activities and indoor. not alot for older children but for smaller children like her age its great. my daughter had alot of fun. just make sure if you go bring cash. as its all cash. thats a helpful hint I got from a review. facepainting was done well, costly at $15 not much food selection but fair pricing. water only 1.50 which is reasonable. all and all it was a great day and would bring her back again.

I heard about Kidapalooza through our local community website. We decided to check it out! What…read morebetter way to spend Family Day weekend than a kids festival? We heard so much about it so our expectations were up after seeing the activities online & what they were offering for kids. There were a great amount of bouncy castles and areas for kids to play. I'll start off with the cons and then move on to the pros of the festival. Cons: #1, Really long lines & SO crowded. My 4 year old got pushed around a bit when trying to jump in some of the large inflatables. Made it near impossible to take another turn on some inflatables. 2# Was not happy about seeing animals in an overheated area that was SO small, even my 4lb dog would've been barking to get out. The space was so small and there were so many animals crammed in. I'm not happy about seeing that they will have animals at the festival again. I know a lot of people were unhappy and upset at the way the animals were fenced into such a small space. Not even necessary to have with so many other things going on. #3 We had to pay full price for our 22 month old ($25) and i later found out he was supposed to be free. He didn't even get out of his stroller. And even if he was 2 months older and justified for the price - there was nothing that he would've been able to play in. The areas that were catered to 2-3 yr olds were chaotic and way too packed to keep an eye on him. #4 They had a cookie decorating area. Seeing as though it is a kids festival and nut allergies are so common. It would've been nice to have a nut free bakery offering this and if they couldn't get one - why bother having it? School's don't allow kids to bring nuts/peanuts to school and ask that all snacks are nut free. I was shocked when i asked and the baker told me the cookies were NOT nut free. If there had been contact of nuts in any of the cookies and those kids left and played around Kidapalooza, i don't even want to imagine what could've happened to the kids with peanut/tree nut allergies. Why take a chance? #5 Food trucks were a great idea, but would've been nice to have some kid friendly food - hot dogs, grilled cheese sandwiches, chicken tenders?!? The price & portions of the burgers was huge considering we just paid $50 for the kids to get in. #6 Entrance to get in was a mess and completely unorganized. Very frustrating and nobody was directing anybody anywhere. Pros: #1 Lots of hourly entertainment for the kids - singing, dancing, magician, yoga, Disney characters (Anna & Else performed!). Only thing negative about this area was it was too small and in an awkward area between the food and all the large inflatables which had long lines. It would've been nice if the stage was a bit higher because my kids couldn't see until we lifted them up. Yes, that means some adults couldn't be bothered to move out of the way. #2 Great variety of inflatable bouncy castles, slides etc. My daughter had a lot of fun and didn't want to leave after spending almost 3 hours there. My hubby & i wanted to leave after 30 min. #3 LOVED the dress up area for the kids - one of the best ideas of the festival! Also super crowded. #4 Great craft areas and activities. Maybe a few more options for kids under the age of 2 and bigger space? #5 Smokes Poutinerie was there! I LOVE poutine! Best poutine i've had so far! Momma was happy! All in all there as a great selection of activities & fun for all. It was their 1st year, so hopefully 2017 will be bigger & better and run more smoothly.
