On the booking page I typed in my sons name and then scrolled down to insert my credit card information. After that was completed I scrolled down further and reviewed terms and conditions; checked that and hit submit. Next page populated a ticket with MY NAME not my sons. I immediately called Greyhound and they advised that the ticket name could not be changed. Greyhound stated that I could change date of trip or destination. They advised that I call my local bus station to see if they could help me. I called Greyhound and tried to escalate the situation a total of 7 times; 4 of which they hung up on me. One senior customer service rep stated she would give me a one time courtesy credit of the ticket amount but I would have to purchase another ticket via email; then, she hung up on me. I tried calling back and the customer service said that even if that credit was issued the new ticket would have to be in my name. Can we say Racketeering? at minimum website issue-- Buyer Beware-- only purchase tickets in person!!! Super Angry!!! The one star is for Greyhound. 5 Stars for the honesty of our local bus station attendants. Our local bus station, here in Lincoln, Nebraska, stated they do this all the time and try to force people to buy another ticket; I was the 10th person on January 2 that called with same incident. I want people to know about this!
