Started by a local designer that attended Emily Carr, it's refreshing to see a Vancouverite opening a store that's not trying to be exclusive (ahem Main St/Gastown, but try to break into the mainstream market in Metrotown. The cashier recognized which item it was right away when I said I was there for my friend's order. When I gave the order to my friend, the first thing they noticed was that one of the string ties attached to the product was ripped off; the product was a final sale so there were no returns or exchanges... I felt guilty that I didn't check the product properly but assumed that the employee did their due diligence when getting the product since they remembered exactly which one and "there were many in stock". I even contemplated if I needed to go back right away to get a new one since I gave my friend a broken product. Luckily my friend brought the product back and the staff were able to give them a non-defective one. Just wished that the staff did their due diligence the first time regardless of how the order was placed. The product did not have many parts so they would have easily noticed the broken string if they gave it even a look over....

Not only did she remember me (i've bumped into her a few times at the shop, but not more then a handful) but she was still the incredibly energetic, totally genuine ball of sunshine that made me RUN home to pen that first review back in January. And so, as a tip of the hat to my top service ninja of the year, I thought it be best to share some new findings at Two of Hearts: 1. Karen has a jewellery line that she sells at the shop! Go buy it and support local crafters and an all around rad person! ...I don't remember the name, because I took a business card and had her write down the specifics on a few pieces. Such organization obviously means I will lose said card within 24 hours. I do however have a note that says: "Sounds like the muppets song Mahna Mahna." Because i'm an adult. So I will take that to the Twitterverse for further investigation. Stay tuned. 2. Hats!! If you are looking for the most fabulous fall hat, go check out the Andre felt hats from Montreal. I debated over mine last January and it is singlehandedly my second favourite purchase of the year (it's tough to compete with the Fiat...) They are an excellent price (under $100), made in Canada and just classic, beautiful pieces. But if you buy the red one in the window before, I will get mad at you. Bonus points: you can't even find this line online for a better price. Tip of the hat 2ofH. 3. Bags! I have beat the s%&t out of my bag over the year - every day, dual laptop wielding and it has survived. Definitely looking a bit worse for wear, but it's held up far better then I expected, considering the price point is so reasonable. Peruse the racks of neatly filed fashion finds for many big names in fashion, some hot off the runway, in a plethora of fabrics, patterns, and cuts, lace, satin, cashmere; dresses, skirts, pants, blazers, tops, and jackets, shoes, and designer jewellery. Base on what we were told, we headed promptly to the store. After 30 min of driving and finding parking, we made it to the store. To our annoyance, Rae at the store indicated to us we were misinformed and that he was unable to provide the price adjustments as agreed by this colleague. Even after showing my phone log and reiterating the conversation, he stood firm with his statement. We asked to speak to his manager, to which he indicated he was the only one there. My question is this event is for "Customer Appreciation". This experience alone does not make this customer appreciated at all. I'm was appalled your store did not honor what customer service representatives indicated resulting us wasting our time. I've since emailed them and am waiting to hear back as to whether or not they'll do the honourable thing and make this right ... Update: Since reaching out to their website and posting on Yelp, Lauren, the store's Shop Director contacted me to resolve the issue. I truly appreciate her doing that and it has regained my confidence in their store's customer service.

To be helpful, the deal is now, you can 'shop up front' at store, tell them what you want, buy the clothes, go home and try them on...and then get a return (without hassle) if clothes do not fit. It's a process, but thank god they are open if you really need some cothes!
