The food is fresh. And I love the top floor you get anything from pizza to a full meal.

They had a big selection of chocolate at a variety of price points. This was in the middle of the shopping area and near the train so it was crowded. Lines moved fast and staff were helpful. The prices were reasonable. I was able to pick up something to eat and some souvenirs.

I can't think of any other department store like this in Geneva or the US that can bring so much happiness to me (perhaps some Asian dept stores can...). P A R K I N G Parking at Manor is crazy. There's multiple levels underground and it's super tight. Be good and have a small car or walk like we do. I N S I D E There are multiple floors of varying goods. First floor is food and groceries. You can get fruits, veggies, pastries, cooked food, wines, cookies, chocolates, charcuterie, cheeses, you think of food, they have it. They have these mini walnut sausages that I've never seen anywhere else. They're expensive, but we treat ourselves to it whenever we're here. Second floor is a mish mash of things but mainly beauty, so lotions, hair dryers, perfumes. Next couple floors are clothing for men and women of course separated one for men one for women. Then there's toys and stationary and luggage. I'm always looking for the next NICI plush and always drawn to their cuteness Then electronics where you also have Manora their cafeteria style food court though we seem to always be underwhelmed with the pastries we get there. O V E R A L L It's an all in one department store with grocery and cafeteria. What more could you ask for? I wish we had a Manor in the US cause I'd be there all the time.

It was close to the bus/tram line, and in a cute neighborhood - when I arrived in early afternoon, an open-air market was just closing down in the plaza across the street, and there was a tasty looking gelato place on the far corner, too. The neighborhood alone is worth the detour. As for the shop itself, I thought it was lovely. It's not huge, but I thought its size and selection were formidable. The brands were mainly European ones that my local shops in California don't carry. Since I was in Switzerland I settled on some Lang yarn for myself - there was definitely a good variety of Lang, and lots of colorways! While I don't have a local yarn shop to compare pricing to for these brands, I felt like the pricing was fair and in keeping with prices I pay for nicer yarns, and especially considering Swiss prices overall. The proprietress was also very nice - she gave some good help to another customer, and kindly let me stumble through my poor French. Definitely worth the side trip!

The prices were reasonable which surprised me given how expensive Geneva is. I did not end up buying anything however because I have enough basic yarns in my stash. The store is cute and spacious, but lacks variety and did not have any hand-dyed yarns, and few, if any, knitting/crochet notions. I think this is ok if you just want to buy basic yarn so that your hands are occupied or if you simply want to give an LYS business (which I generally like to do).

I bought a bottle for a close friend back in the states as a surprise, and he was stoked. Yes, it does have that semi-department store feeling similar to a Sears but with some more upscale items. I don't speak fluent French (okay, I don't speak it at all) but I was able to get by quite well with the associates who worked there. Or, I think I did... I ended up visiting a couple more coops while staying abroad, but I enjoyed this one due to the vast selections of products (I even did some light grocery shopping here) plus their cafe/takeaway food area as Mindy H. pointed out below. Not sure of what the difference between coop vs. coopcity is, but I'm guessing the coopcities are specifically in largely populated areas, similar to how target has city target in more urban dwellings? It took me awhile to get used to how things are laid out, and would take a bit to find things. There is a larger selection of products here, then at my local COOP store. They have a take away food area for you to pick up some hot items at lunch time, and a small place to sit and eat. If you like COOP you definitely have to check this location out.
