The European department stores are amazing with everything you need-clothing, housewares, food! There was lots of ready to eat food as well as groceries. They had a big selection of chocolate at a variety of price points. This was in the middle of the shopping area and near the train so it was crowded. Lines moved fast and staff were helpful. I love Manor. I love it like I love pastries and cake which Manor has and then some. Why does this spot get my coveted 5 stars? I can't think of any other department store like this in Geneva or the US that can bring so much happiness to me (perhaps some Asian dept stores can...). P A R K I N G Parking at Manor is crazy. There's multiple levels underground and it's super tight. Be good and have a small car or walk like we do. I N S I D E There are multiple floors of varying goods. First floor is food and groceries. You can get fruits, veggies, pastries, cooked food, wines, cookies, chocolates, charcuterie, cheeses, you think of food, they have it. They have these mini walnut sausages that I've never seen anywhere else. They're expensive, but we treat ourselves to it whenever we're here. Second floor is a mish mash of things but mainly beauty, so lotions, hair dryers, perfumes. Next couple floors are clothing for men and women of course separated one for men one for women. Then there's toys and stationary and luggage. I'm always looking for the next NICI plush and always drawn to their cuteness Then electronics where you also have Manora their cafeteria style food court though we seem to always be underwhelmed with the pastries we get there. O V E R A L L It's an all in one department store with grocery and cafeteria. What more could you ask for? I wish we had a Manor in the US cause I'd be there all the time. read more

Manor is your one stop shop for everything great. All of the departments have a great selection of items, especially food, beauty, and stationery. The clothing goes without saying. It also has everything you didn't know you needed. My favorite floors are the fresh food market on the 1st floor and rooftop restaurant. The fresh food market has all things amazing. The views are mesmerizing and the restaurant food is excellent. It is one of my favorite places to shop before I head back to the states. read more

So great. This store has everything! Only problem I had was when I returned something for a different color they credited my credit card but for the price of the item only, not the added tax. Then they charged my card for the replacement item (same price, same item, different color) + tax. Essentially I paid the tax twice. I did not notice this until I got back to my hotel, and no time to go back and discuss with customer service before my flight out of Geneva. Otherwise, this store has an excellent selection of so much. read more

Who knew I would find the best croissants I've had (so far) in Geneva at a chain department store? And not even a particularly high-end one? And for only CHF1 for an amazingly buttery and fluffy croissant, or CHF1.95 for a selection of huge, almond/praline/multigrain croissants?? Manor bakery (the little bakery/deli just inside of the lower level exit adjacent to the Lindt chocolate section--there are so many bread stations here!), despite the anti-climax of falling in love with a department store grocery/food court bakery corner, you have become my favorite neighborhood baker. Otherwise, Manor is a disaster on Saturdays, as the entire city seems to stop by here at some point during the day. Shoot for Thursday evenings instead, when they stay open until 9pm. read more

Bounty. Manor is a high end grocery in Geneva that has an incredible range of ingredients and prepared foods. I don't know if this is just baseline stuff for the Swiss, but for an American --- this is as good as it gets when it comes to grocers. As a point of reference, this kicks the shit out of Whole Foods/Mariano's/Zupan's/[insert boutique grocery store name in the US]. Some examples of grocery store deliciousness: octopus ceviche (copious), uncut legs of iberico jamon, ready-bake beef wellington, dry aged beef case, jars of foie gras, a bakery with freshly fried donuts that were glazed and sugared on the spot, diverse cheese selection, etc etc etc. The only draw back that drops it a star is that it's got severely limited hours, closing at 7pm most days and not open on Sunday. read more

My favourite shop in the city centre. It's a huge department store that can be accessed by walking from gare conarvin or by the tram that stops outside (14). They have July sales on at the moment. Swiss memorabilia are located in the food section however I found it a little overpriced. The best part is the food hall with everything you could imagine at great prices- Greek food, Indian food, salads, cold meats, cheeses, cakes, pastries, yoghurts, pizzas, foccacias, soups etc. They even have cute little to go packs with an orange juice, pan au chocolat etc. There is self service for cold foods and for hot you queue and tell them what you want. Pizza is about 5.50francs and a slice of cake 3.95 francs. So it's worth walking to even if it's raining for dinner. read more

The Manor group have been upping their game for a few years now trying to catch up with the chic-er Globus. For clothing, shoes, and all the other stuff you get in department stores, this is average but go down to the basement level food store, it's really marvelous. Manor has everything from food, clothing, household goods, restaurant, etc. It's a pricey store. Nothing in Switzerland is cheap (maybe the bus). If you're coming here there are a lot of city buses that will bring you to this downtown shopping area where you can spend hours shopping at Manor. If you have a chance to eat outside of Manor I recommend eating nearby at Brasserie Lipp, a high end dining experience and plan on spending A LOT. Take your "no foreign fee" credit card with you. The quality of the food at Lipp is outstanding. Reservations are recommended but take a chance like I did. When I found this restaurant they got me right in for lunch. read more

This is a fantastic Manor location. It is a beautiful department store spread across several levels, and the food section is phenomenal. They have a great bakery, great options to pick up a quick takeaway lunch, and I love their fresh squeezed fruit juices in the morning. If you are lucky, they sometimes even have food samples. I only wish I lived near this location. read more

A department store with a super market on the ground-floor or lower ground floor, lots of departments and a cafe on the top floor with a terrace and a great view over Geneva to the mountains.
