I feel like its a little bit on the pricey side, foods really good. I've never had a bad meal from there, bad service, nothing.

Ordered a pie the Works. Pizza taste a day old, had more of a egg omelet taste . I asked for steak tacos the steak was cut in 1 inch cube the toppings then dropped in a deep fryer. Just not good . I was very hesitant to try this place. Not being a local I asked around for opinions. Everyone said the same thing, you either love it or hate it. The reviews online said staff was terrible and rude. Let me just tell you I had Kenzie (spelling?) as our waitress. She was very attentive and sweet. It seemed to only be her and one MAYBE two other waitresses. She did a phenomenal job with her section. Even though she seemed to be running around like crazy she always stopped to check on us. Now to the food. We ordered the funnel cake fries, beef tacos and a bacon/ranch pizza. Fries were really good. Tacos were pretty good. Pizza was very greasy but really good. I'd go back again. read more

I love Manny's! Was a childhood favorite. We always had to go to Savanna to have it. I am glad it is in Freeport and I love the new location. Resteraunt is nice and getting take out is a breeze. When it comes to pizza in Freeport you can't go wrong. read more

Worst experience and tacos ever. Literally almost zero cheese on every taco and sauce cups 1/2 full. We're long-time Manny's lovers but this was bad enough well not be back at least to Freeport. Savanna seems to continue being consistent and high quality ...NOT Freeport. Also found out tonight that they charge you a healthy premium to take out. The Pizza was up charged nearly $3 Plus another $.50 for the box (I get that but not over 20% more for the Pizza. Wtf??? Whoever is running this location is running it into the ground. read more

Gave Manny's one more try at their new location on Empire Street. It was surreal to say the least. Walking in, the place looks nice, however it had a musty smell like someone used the bathroom mop in the dining area. We seated ourselves then the waitress walked up and just said "Hello" then we said "Hello, how are you doing?". Then she just stood there and didn't say anything. Not I'm fine, how are you, or what would you like to drink, or anything. She just said hello and stood there. We ordered drinks then she actually said "I'll get your drinks while you all look over THE menu". Yes, she actually acknowledged that we only had one menu to share between the three of us and she had no intention on getting us more menus. Then we wanted to order their 60 cent wing special. She said they are probably out of wings, but she would check. This is at 5pm at the start of dinner time, how could they be out of wings at the beginning of their wing night? We caught her as she was running away and said we want the bone in wings, are you out of those? She said that "they" changed that and bone in wings are no longer on the Sunday night special. We showed her the menu where it clearly says bone in wings are on the Sunday special. And we said we saw it on your Website earlier in the day when we were looking for somewhere to eat dinner. She wouldn't honor the special, so we continued to order two orders of 9 piece bone in wings. Those wings didn't come out for a very long time. When they did, they were luke warm and the buffalo ones were dry inside. We ordered a pizza right before the wings came out. Glad we got extra cheese on it cause it was like normal or less cheese than you get at other pizza places. Very skimpy toppings, like a few sprinkles of sausage and a couple crumbs of mushrooms. This was about the same or a little worse experience than we had at their old location on West Street. We have learned our lesson and will not be going back. Their new location does look very nice inside and out. Don't judge a restaurant by its cover I guess. This is a huge disappointment as there are very few choices for good eating establishments in Freeport and they could be good if they took more pride in their establishment and better trained staff. Our dad kept saying was how nice the steak house was before Manny's. There was even a girl bringing out pizza boxes for carry outs that was carrying pizza boxes tipped way back and angled so the cheese would run to one side. Very poor training. Awful, the wait staff did not wear gloves or masks. They do not wipe down tables between use. Slow service, waitstaff and kitchen staff. Waitstaff not attentive, had to go get someone to ask for a refill of soda. Salad is shredded lettuce, canned tomatoes and shredded American cheese. Pizza was extra greasy and canned vegetables on top. Absolutely no reason to go here, go to any other place in town! read more

Extremely disappointing. Everything on the buffet was cold and sitting along time. At 7:15, food should still be brought out to the buffet. All the people in the restaurant were eating from the buffet. When fresh tacos were brought out, they were even cold. We had to ask if there would be any fresh pizzas brought out and we were told they had 1 pizza in the oven. Come on people, 1 pizza in the oven for a buffet?? When it finally came out, it is over cooked.....and who eats a black olive pizza?? I sure hope the other people waiting for pizza get HOT food. We gave up and left. Won't be back! read more

Went here for the 1st time a few weeks ago. Really great food and nice atmosphere. The lighting is a little bit too bright for my taste. They had drink specials at the time we were there which was really nice. Will definitely go back at some point. read more

Worst service ever!!! Went in to get my to go order. The girl handed me my order. I had to ask for a plastic bag to carry it out in. She then proceeded to take care of someone else while I'm still standing there. Finished that, went to the back, (where I could still see her just standing there) then finally brought my bag to me. Best tacos I have ever had personally not a fan of the pizza, very thin and greasy, but the tacos are beyond phenomenal and make this place

I expected little from an Americanized fusion of Italian and Mexican. I had low expectations and it still failed to live up to them. The food ranged from over cooked appetizers to at best bland main courses. In English I found it Meh. In Mexican el Meh. In Italian il Meh. So, if you have been to a Manny's pizza in Savanna or Fulton this is the same pizza. It's thin, crispy crust pizza with enough grease to fry up some french fries but that's what makes it unique. I love their pizza (I don't eat it too much though) and their tacos and tostadas are pretty good too. The service is at this location isn't the greatest. It seems like they let their kids manage this one and they hire their friends. They act like they don't care and hardly pay attention to you. I usually just order it out and take it home instead of dealing with the adolescent servers they employ. read more

I read other reviews and I am very surprised about bad service and attitudes. Not once have I ever been treated that way. I've been with a party of several and we've all ordered different things. It would be nice if all the food came out at the same time. Anything deep fried (except for the tacos) comes out within 5 minutes. Terrible food and even worse customer service. I was going to order a pizza but they told me nearly an hour despite the fact I was less than a mile away. I told them never mine i didnt' want the order because I had an appointment in 50 minutes but they brought it to my job anyway. I paid for it it anyway and left a healthy tip. The food was Horrible. The owner was rude and wouldn't speak to me. I could hear him cursing me to the hostess who had answered his phone. when I called him to ask him why they sent a pizza they didnt order. I spent 20 years in the restaurant business in the stateline in nearly every position from Chef to manager and bartender. The first time I ordered from Manny's we found a longhair in our food and, I called and complained and they offered me a free meal and I declined. We thought we'd give them another try last week we purchased a extra large pizza and buffalo wings. The delivery was fast, BUT the pizza was old as if someone had dined in and ordered it and didn't want it. The pizza was missing pieces and was thrown all over the box, looked absolutely disgusting, and then on top of that the young driver forgot to bring our French fries and about15 minutes later he returned with the cold French fries that we ordered with the pizza, so when he delivered the cold French fries, I returned the pizza and fries and asked for my money back. This was the second and last bad experience I've had with Manny's, and I honestly WOULD NOT recommend it to anyone, you'll be very disappointed. And I called and talk to the chef/ Manager and complained and he responded as if I was lying. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME ! Its amazing they're still in business! read more

Their box has " Best Pizza in Town" on it. I couldn't disagree more. The crust was paper thin and the sauce tasted like it belonged on a taco. It looked like it was made out of the same greasy cardboard as the box it came in. I've gotten better pizza at a gas station. It was so bad hot I didn't dare save the leftovers to find out what it tasted like the next day cold. I also ordered tacos which also looked and tasted like they were comprised of 90% old greasy cardboard. For a restaurant that has multiple locations the Freeport store must be the black sheep of the bunch. It was horrible I will. It be ordering there again. read more

Worst place ever. I was so embarrassed to take a ,out of state, family member to dine there. I saw an ad in the paper about the Tuesday "pizza/Taco buffet. This was TERRIBLE! The salad bar was just plain *sad, not filled and looked scary to try. Then I saw NO soup, as advertised. Dessert was tiny cupcakes, I'm sure those god, since you know THEY didn't make them but for a buffet, there were 6 cupcakes. didn't want dessert anyway. Now, Tacos, OH MY GOD! the meat had now seasoning, shells were burned, and WHY, do they put them together? what if you don't want the lettuce and other stuff on your taco? The PIZZA...cold and tough, are you not required to have warming lamps on hot food? also, no tag's telling you what kind of pizza. sure if you see pepperoni then that should be it, nope also had onion. Service was poor, and don't say it was really busy. some what, but girls spent more time *chatting with regular customers. I kept apologizing to my guest, they politely said, 'that's ok, it's not that bad, just if the pizza was warm and fresh it wouldn't have been bad". Hmmmm... i love thin crust pizza, but this was very tough. Mushrooms were not fresh. Service limited; it seemed there was one waitress for all. Slot machine dinging is a little overwhelming. Horrible. Cant understand how they are still open. The tacos are disgusting. And i think one was even spoiled. Brought a little bit of our order out at a time. The tables and chairs are broken and very uncomfortable not to mention dirty as well. And the pizza.... wait, it was not pizza. Its what they claimed to be pizza but what ever it was, was nasty.
