I'm a contractor and I'm passionate about what I do and I can see the passion and effort that comes from how they conduct their services. Most importantly, they're trustworthy and they care. I had to do a lot of searching and researching before I settled on them because I have a dog with a lot of issues and I love her to death. I'm very happy I settled on them. Our dog, unlike most the dogs that I've seen in the reviews, is on the other end of the spectrum. Kaia is a 5, almost 6, year old husky/shepherd mix who has anxiety and fear and had zero socialization with the outside world and people. We adopted her at 4 years old and at that point, she was terrified of people and the world. Zero aggression, terrified of the world and a consistent flight risk. She would shut down when she saw people. If she could, she would make herself disappear from the world. Cowering, shaking, bolting, tail permanently tucked. Anything to get away. She couldn't function. We were having trouble bonding with her in the full year we had her because she was just so scared. Walks with her were full of dragging and bolting. She's pulled myself and my boyfriend over before when she was in a panic. She was incredibly stubborn with her commands. We eventually bit the bullet and contacted Mellow Vibes. They were the first trainer (and people in general) we talked to that did not judge what we did. The amount of times we heard from other trainers and people that we should not do this or that with our dog out of our desperation to build a bond with her (like letting her sleep on the bed with us or on furniture). They were the first trainers that understood where we came from and why we let her get away with certain things. We didn't feel judged for the first time or like we were being scolded. Instead, we got understanding and compassion. Paul spent 6 weeks with her. Let me tell you this, the amount of care and time he spent with her is astounding. Our dog was scared of EVERYONE but especially men, children and the elderly. Yet somehow, on our first meeting with Paul, she was calm. Paul kept us updated with her progress, pictures, videos, answering any of our questions or concerns. When it was finally time to pick her up, Paul trained us on his techniques of dealing with our dog's issues. We were met with a dog that listened to commands and when we did our walk with Paul, holy moly we were able to walk through the busy busy streets of downtown. Later that day, we were able to walk her through a busy park with so many screaming kids. We. Could. Never. Do. That. Before. EVER. She seemed to adore Paul, always looking back at him for reassurance and a bit of confidence. I almost felt bad taking her home haha. You could tell she was at ease with him and she was WELL LOVED in her time there. YOU DO NOT HELP A DOG LIKE OURS BY "BREAKING THEIR SPIRIT" OR ABUSING THEM. Now, I don't think our dog will ever be a people dog but we were taught how to manage her issues and she, herself, was slowly learning that people, objects, etc would not hurt her. At home now, she is generally a happier dog. More smiles, more tail wags, more following us around (she never wagged her tail or followed us around like this before). Mellow Vibes truly has helped her come out of her shell. They continue to follow up with us with messages, phone calls for more tips or to answer any of our questions. The rest is now up to us to keep up with the training and to continue to develop our relationship with her. You do not rehabilitate a dog like ours with anything but love, patience (oh so much patience) and compassion.

So how would he know how to sit, lay down, stay, leave it, drop it, loose leash walk and politely take it? He knows these things now that he has graduated from The Dog Nanny puppy classes. He also got to meet and play with other puppies and he really needed to see there are other excited and wonderful pups out there in the big world and he is not alone. I left my cat and dog for a week while on a trip south. When I picked them up they where happy and had been well cared for. We plan to go away again in the next couple of weeks and will be using this hotel again. The cat room has nice sized spaces for each cat with its own window, multi layer seats for the cat, a bridge for the to walk from the floor to the top seat and a little door to their own outdoor space which is open only during the summer months. They let the cat out too roam around various times threw the day and seems to really give them individual attention. The dogs also have their own rooms with a off the floor bed and a doggy dog which is opened about 5x per day. Well worth the drive up from Toronto!!! Update to my review as of Sept 2016 Both my cat and dog came home from a weeks stay with upper respiratory infections. They were fully vaccinated before their visit.

This disease has and continues to cost us $$$$. My dog is on prednisone daily and injected with percotin v monthly ($700 a year for this one medication). We were told they had a litter to choose from but weren't able to see any but the one they brought out. She was our only option. You could hear puppies yelping in the basement. Four of my friends purchased puppies from this same place and all four dogs have health issues. Allergies, kidney disease/failure, Addison's, etc... Don't be fooled by their website and reviews, they run out of their house and you can hear tons of puppies/dogs barking or frying out for help from the basement.

They have a long page called "Please read this before purchasing a puppy" which was really informative and to me showed that they care about where their puppies go. I reached out to Angie through e-mail, introducing my myself and my lifestyle. After a couple of e-mail exchanges, my boyfriend and I decided to go through with adopting a puppy from an upcoming litter. We drove to Angie's house to meet the father Bichon of the litter and to pay a deposit. The experience was really nice and Angie was really welcoming. A couple of weeks passed and we drove back to Angie's to pickup our puppy. The experience was really exciting and memorable. We also received our puppy's medical papers, pet insurance, care instructions, food, a toy and a bed. A day or two after we adopted our puppy, Angie reached out to us to see how everything was going. Being puppy-raising newbies my boyfriend & I reached out to Angie many times over the 10 months of having our puppy. She's always been very quick with e-mail responses and will sometimes call us. A bit about our puppy, her name is Blanche. She's a very happy and perky little thing. She is a social butterfly and gets so much attention everywhere we go. For times we've had to leave her at boarding, we get so many compliments when we pick her up. People saying she's a really nice and friendly dog. We had a wonderful experience with Purdy Puppy and highly recommend it to anyone who is serious about adopting a puppy.
