Our dauchund lives in a community where she has access to at least several veterinary hospitals. We…read moredid use another clinic for our former dog. When we decided to adopt another puppy, KVH was recommended to us by a friend who bred and showed dogs. Our choice was clear, our pet has been a patient for 8 years, and we and the doxie have be please with the care our pet has received. She has had some chronic skin problems, which have been well treated, even though they seem to be constantly moving immunologic "targets." She has received the proper meds and her care has been a group effort, involving Dr Shively, the clinic assistants,an out-of state specialist, and us. Everything has been well explained to us. The facility is located in town and one can drive right up to the door. Handicapped access is available. The staff seems ready to receive "patients" and show care and affection to the pets. We have never had to wait long for appointments or pet care and the clinic is managed as well as or better than my medical care facilities. The waiting room is clean and bright and the examining rooms are cleaned between pet visits. Our doxie even appreciated her care, with there always being a few licks for Dr Shively or the assistants. This care is given to all the animals in the facility. Our dog's medical records, immunizations, etc are computerized and we get reminders for scheduled care. We have been given emergency numbers in the event the facility is not open. We do recommend Kennebunk Veterinary Hospital and know that the care our pet gets is "cutting-edge."

It is truly sad that they would have him just sitting there, instead of with his family and they could just call us when the tech shows to bring him in. Very very disappointed in this place for supposedly how wonderful they are. Seem to be a place that only cares about money, and not you sweet pets

My regular vet moved too far away so I've been looking for a new one and I brought my cat here for…read morethe first time I was happy to hear the first office visit is free. (I should've known better than to fall for that because nothing is free at a vet.) I brought him for possible crystals in his urine. I was seen by Erin Forbes and a tech. I explained what was going on and after a few minutes of listening to them I let them both know my cat is very sensitive to loud voices, hoping they'd take the hint. (Especially in a cold echoing room that smells like other frightened animals.) And I could see on his face that he was totally freaked out. Well they just kept on talking as loud as they were before. I mean, it was even loud for me. But not even a HINT of talking even a tiny bit quieter to make him more at ease. I can see not being a people person (which Erin Flynn definitely is not) but as a vet, shouldn't you at least be an animal person? Isn't keeping them calm sort of the first thing you'd do? So she recommended a urinalysis which is done in-house and that usually means it's a bit more economical since it doesn't involve a lab and sending it out etc. When they brought him back in he FLEW into his carrier (normally he likes to check everything out and hops onto things to see what's interesting) The results came back and no crystals. (Although she did recommend an additional $250 test that was not really necessary but still looked at me like I wasn't taking care of Puddin' and sort of threw her hands up saying "Ok. Your cat" So in the same LOUD VOICE, she told me that he needed to lose weight (he is not a fat cat. He's 12 lbs and a fairly large frame.). She said all cats should be 11 lbs. She gave me a few anti inflammatory pills (which I have no issue getting in them) Then she mocked people for not being able to do this. "You just grab them and shove it in. Easy". (Seriously?) and went on to talk about people like they were idiots for not being able to do this. Then she told me she had to laugh about when I said Puddin' was scared of really loud voices and that she and the tech were the "loudest people in the office." She actually laughed about this to my face! At that point I just wanted to get the hell out of there. She was STILL being incredibly loud and I was just done. When I went to pay the bill, that in-house test (that is normally around $100) plus a few pills was a total of over $300. That's just insane. So this is where they make up for the "waved office fee". That, to me, is a scam. And when I asked about the cost and why it's so high, the front desk said "well I have to clean the machine etc". Umm. Ok. Well isn't that what you get paid to do? I know that he prices are nothing to do with them but they really need to come up with a better explanation than that. I just looked on the site to see what the vets name was to include in this review (ERIN FORBES) and she's not on the list of vets anymore. So maybe she left. (And this was only 2 weeks ago) Maybe there were other issues with other customers? Who knows. But I found her to be judgmental,, cold, obnoxious, condescending, dismissive and yes, very, very LOUD. This was not just a bad day. This was just her. And I will NEVER be back here or anywhere she is at. Worst vet I've seen in decades.

So after about a couple of watching them not acting right. They would not really touched the floor like it was lava. One of Minnie (who we also got there at the shelter in kennebunk) when I picked Minnie one her name and she wanted attention for loving.) Well Gregory acted the same way so I wanted him To be in our family. The unique thing was that he had the floor and the apt. The shelter at first when I said I wanted him and because he was younger and I am diabetic so they wanted me take home one of the older cats were already declared I promised I would not have him declawed. I also knew it is easier to fit in because they havent gotten in a set way of being. It also easier doer the girls. Took two weeks the girls were they acted normal and not watching them go deeper in depressed. But we are a happy parents of our furry kids

We drove so long to get there and waited outside awhile. We get inside and tell them we are wanting the dog and then someone comes in who was there when it was closed earlier. They counted that and gave the dog to them. Next time please say you already are giving it to someone else. Now we are driving home so sad. Not to mention the lady with red hair didn't care when we told them the situation. They clearly showed favoritism and it was so wrong. I am so very disappointed and will never go back. They change their rules for some people I guess. Horrible.

Without going into too much detail, our girl had seemingly overnight developed intense dementia, extreme separation anxiety, and her arthritis had become worse. We were searching for at home euthanasia specialists in case we needed to help her get the help she may have needed, but we also weren't sure it was time. Finding Haven and Dr. Hill on Google is the best thing that's happened to us in a WHILE! One call to her and she explained that while she offers that service, she also specializes in senior dog care and can do a normal assessment or even develop a full hospice/palliative care program for her if we saw fit. She listened to our specific situation, repeated it back to us in her own words to help illustrate that she truly understood what we needed her help with and that she thought she'd be able to help, and my husband and I could finally sleep again. And now, thanks to Dr. Hill's recommendations, Chloe is sleeping through the night again too! I'm sure there will be hiccups along the way but after one session with her, we've learned cognitive training tools, a new people-food diet to help her, and the trick of putting yoga mats down for helping her not slide on our floors! Chloe is already doing better. Thank you, Kelly! I cannot share enough good things about your business for anyone having a senior dog!!

Unfortunately we had issues in receiving our loved one back and after talking with Dr. Hill in the issues we had, she was very rude and condescending with unfortunately has a negative effect on her as she is the owner. We spent a lot of money having our beloved pet using the aquamation process and what we received back was not at all promised. Dr. Hill is connected with Tranquil waters and I don't recommend them at all as they made promises to us which were not received. If I were you I would totally find another company.
