When I arrived for my appointment on 11/7/2025 no one explained any pricing to me so I was surprised when I checked out. The lady checking me out was severely lacking in customer service. I went to pick up my trial pair today and Gracie was nice. It was not explained that my trial pair were going to be an entire point less than what I am currently wearing during my appointment. When called back by Dr. Matthew she was very condescending about what was discussed in my appointment then basically called me a liar when I told her that I did not have a call from Kingwood from Stephanie about Lasik services. I was trying to get additional information on Lasik services to utilize my FSA in 2026. I am going to try the trial pair provided but will not be using this location or any other Mann Eye location for any future services. I only chose this business and location as they are the only place open after 12pm on a Friday for appointments in our town. read more

This place was amazing. I had a 9:05 appointment and got there about 8:50. I checked in with the very friendly staff and had a seat. About 10 minutes later I was called back to begin the exam(a very thorough exam). After I finished I was sat to wait for the doctor, less than 5 minutes later I was speaking with the doctor. Exam went fine and no complaints about that part. It's when I sat down to order my glasses. I didn't receive a copy of my prescription, nor was it explained to me what my eyes needed in strength. With that being said, I ended up purchasing a pair of READERS for over $300!!!! I called them after my appointment and purchase to ask for a copy of my prescription and for them to explain it to me since the overall cost was still bugging me. It ended up that I have perfect 20/20 far sighted and just need a +2.50 near sighted for reading. I have probably 10 pairs of +2.50 readers all over the house and at work already. Of course it was too late to cancel the order after they finally returned my call. So if you go to them, make sure to get a copy of your eye glass prescription and purchase elsewhere. Especially if you just need a pair of READERS!!! Very unethical of them. Will be going elsewhere for both my husband and myself next time. read more

Front desk Lisa Dawson and work up tech Ariez Wesney and of course my Doctor Ashitha Matthew. They were all very professional and informative. I was kept up on what was going on. Well I have to say I was pleased with this place and the people! I'm recently from Houston so having to find all docs. Being in a small town I expected a little different and less... but man o man was I wrong. The establishment is easy to access and well marked so makes it easy to find. It's bigger than I anticipated. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The girls at the front are awsome... the doc took the time to see me and did a full exam and explained what was going on, future needs, and made sure that I understood the visit! They have an impressing selection of glasses for budgets and name brands and everything in between! They are a one stop shop so to speak! THEY RUN A SCAM ON THEIR REFRACTION MACHINE VERY SNEAKY: I have insurance that pays 100% they do a procedure called refractions that insurance does not pay because it is not necessary that's why the insurance companies do not cover it. It was $45.00 at the time then they went up to $65.00 for the procedure. I have 20/20 vision that was determined before they did this refraction procedure a waste of time and money. Hi I went there the other day and yes I gave them one star cause the people there are nice, but that doesn't excuse for the fact that they only half checked my eyes and I know from prior experiences I don't have good nearsided vision. They only checked me for far sided and told me both we're 20/20. I'm sorry but I will take my business elsewhere where they have "the time" to check everything. read more
